Acorns & Hazels

November 24th, 2013

It’s been a cold week. Brrr. And lots of rain. Not large amounts, but it just seems to be a constant slight downpour. I haven’t seen much of the sun. If only I could go to sunny Brazil. One of the pictures on Mia’s Facebook got reposted by a Brazilian page and it has gotten almost 4000 views. I think that’s a new record. Maybe I can take Mia on a tour of South America. Either that or hibernation. I’m experimenting with warmer clothes. But I haven’t found the right mix yet. Too cold. Which has made me go home from the playground early. And since Bodil has been late a few times we haven’t seen so much of each other. On Thursday she called me on the phone and asked if I was with the goats. Which I was. So she said she’d just put on a coat and be right down. She lives almost next door to the playground. Soon after her little dog Sif came running to say hello to me at the fence of the goat pen. It makes me happy that seeing me means that much to Bodil. Talking to her means a lot to me too. It always makes the day better when I get to see and Sif.

Other than that there’s nothing new. Had foot therapy which went fine. I may have corn. A corn? Acorn. I don’t know. Seems to be doing okay, though. But that’s about as exciting as things have been this week. Let’s go to some goat pictures.

It almost looks like Mia is practicing the headrolls that Kamel always does. But she’s just trying to reach a branch.

Mio reaching for the hay. And is that a baby bump I see? Quite possibly.

And Mio and Mia on their respective side of the hayholder. This is the picture that made it big in Brazil. Which is funny because I think there are cuter pictures on Mia’s page. But it’s all good!

Nosey Mia!

Mio and me.

I love when Palle walks up to me and stands underneath my pocket and looks up at me like that. Quick with the raisins, mister!

And Kamel’s mouth hanging slightly open.

Kamel again. Had to bribe her with a raisin to get her to take a picture with me.

And sweet Palle again.

And a goatlog. Rain and goats and hay and all that stuff.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Picket Fences

November 17th, 2013

It’s been a pretty quiet week. No hurricanes or disease cures. Just cold temperatures and good goat times.

We got a fence around the goat pen again. There’s a new guy working at the playground. Haven’t quite caught his name or if he’ll be staying. But he seemed handy with a saw and the tools. Didn’t take him long to get the fence up. It wasn’t very secure at first, though. Mia soon managed to squeeze through the bottom gap. But I think they have secured the holes now. And the hole from the big tree that fell in the storm has been filled. Things are pretty much back to normal I think.

But that’s about all. Back to boring old times! At least we have goat pictures. So, cue the goat pictures.

A bit of sun for Mia.

Palle, Mia and Kamel. And if you look close there might be a hint of Mio.

All the goats are lined up at the new fence, ready to be served.

Another funny face from Kamel!

Sweet Mia.

Sweet time.

Sweet indeed.

And a goatlog. With lots of fun playing around inside and out.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.
