Downside Up

Things are a little up and down. My right eye is slowly improving. There is still a big pool of blood flowing around. But I can see more through it now. Colours even. But it’s not good. If I had to rely on it alone then I’d be pretty much blind. And unfortunately my left eye is really bad. All in all my eyesight is the worst it’s ever been. There are websites now that I just have to stop visiting, because I can’t read the text anymore. But I just have to try to stay positive. I knew that after the operation there would be some time where my eyesight would be really bad. So now I just have to get through it and keep believing that with time my eyesight will come back. It could be up to 3 months and it’s been less than a week, so there is still hope for me to hang on to. And if I have to stop using the computer for a while then I will survive that. there are plenty of people worse off than me, so keep yer chin up and all that.

I will try to keep blogging as long as I can of course. They will have to drag me kicking and screaming.

hang in there! The surgery sounds pretty invasive, no wonder it takes time to get back to “normal”, let alone get better! Give it time, and try to stay positive-deal with one day at the time. *positive vibes going your way*

*HUGS*

You have the right attitude, but life right after surgery does suck (gosh, I know) so I know it might be difficult to keep your chin up sometimes. Still, a lot of people care about you and are hoping you get as better as possible as soon as possible. :)

katrine – Yup, that’s all I can do anyway. Wait and see. Hopefully see as much as possible.

Valja – I’m doing my best. And you nice people sure do help a lot. I don’t know what I’d do without the blog

Finn’sk

Another quiet day of recuperation. For the next two weeks I am not allowed to get my pulse up or break a sweat. So basically that will be the same as always. That was a joke, haha. I am planning to go shopping tomorrow. See if I can navigate my way around with one eye. Or 2/3rds of one. Next week I hope I’ll be able to go see the goats. Although I’ll probably stay outside the fence. So I don’t get any hooves in my eyes. Gotta be careful.

Speaking of the goats, one of the things that helped me when I was starting to feel nervous on the day of the surgery was visualizing the goats. Picturing Magnethe’s big head stretching to the sky as I scratch her neck. Picturing Finn & Jacob jumping up against me. Good, happy thoughts.

And to share some good, happy thoughts, here is a video from Monday, the day before the surgery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjuCbH2n0kE. Good goat fun. Finn wearing my hat. Finn standing on my back. Finn baahing loudly. There’s more Finn than in Finland, I tells ya. But the other guys are there as well. So you enjoy that while I go squirt eyedrops all over my face.

It’s a shark goat feeding frenzy! Carrots, yum yum.

Did the nice lady and little girl give you a carrot? Doesn’t seem right if you didn’t get one, too.

I’ve used the goatzies to go to “my happy place”. I did that before I had my gall bladder surgery last year in May. My last thoughts were of our three goatzie boys. Although I didn’t have any sexy men dreams!

Are you just pulling our leg about the sexy women dreams?

Debster – No carrots for me. I’d have to fight the goats for them. I don’t think that’d go well.
And I am always serious about the sexy women. I wouldn’t joke about something like that.
