Worst ever. Blurry as hell. It made me think “okay, I’m going blind after all. Might as well face it. Now what would be the most delicate way of asking if someone wants to come and shoot me when it finally happens”. I can’t think of a delicate way, but if anyone wants to volunteer I would appreciate it. You can inherit my massive wealth and everlasting grattitude. I know it’s a big favour to ask, but don’t you love your old Plumey enough to murder him?!

No, no. I’m sure it will be fine and all that. I hope. And the day did improve rather dranatically. First off I went for my appointment with the dietician. That went quite well. She was impressed with the huge effort I have made. That’s always nice to hear. And because my blood sugar levels are so excellent I don’t have to come see her anymore. She gave me some last diet advice and said merry christmas and that’s that for the dietician stuff. Now all I have left is eye stuff and foot stuff. And regular doctor checkups.

After the dietician appointment I stopped at the playground. I almost decided to go straight home and just sleep the day away and hope my eyesight would be better when I woke up eventually. But I’m glad I didn’t. Because at the playground I found… lambs! Yes. I had given up the hope of lambs by now. But Polka, the white sheep, had a beautiful little boy and a darling little girl yesterday. They are as sweet and cute as you’d imagine lambs to be. They didn’t seem too energetic though. But Kurt assured us all that they were doing well and drinking their milkses.

I have taken photos of course. But due to tiredness and blurriness they are left unprocessed for now. I have video though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTAXc7v5J7k. I just love the sound of lambs baahing. It’s so soft and sweet. The video also features some playground staff. You can have a look at Sigrid, my lil crush. While filming the lambs I managed to discretely point the camera in her direction. She’s doing some sweeping in the rabbit compartment next to the sheepies. Kurt joins her and there’s a guy called Thomas too. He’s probably working part-time there, I have seen him a couple of times before. And he was at the christmas party. So cute animals and people all around.

And everyone were quite smitten with the lambs of course. A couple of nice new friends indeed. And then came an old friend. Bodil stopped by! So good to see her again. It’s been absolute ages. She was very happy to see me too, I could tell. Because she told me so. I’m perceptive like that. She had some bad news, though. Her dog Lulu died. Very, very sad. I know she loved that dog beyond words. It was a big blow for her, naturally. It happened in September, after a period of sickness. Cancer and other things. Bodil said that she had sworn to never get another dog again after that. But then she met a new dog, another pekingese, and she’s going to adopt it come the new year. She couldn’t resist it. The heart wants what it wants. I’m glad she’ll get a new dog. But I know no one could ever replace Lulu. Just like no one could ever replace Mads. I will love othe goats, I do already. But I don’t think it will ever be the same.

I loved Lulu too. She was such a swet and fun dog. Full of spirit and life. She was always so happy to see me. Even though I never fed her. And Bodil said she didn’t just take to everyone. But she took to me, and that made me happy. I hope she’s in Pet Heaven now, sharing storied with Mads about us silly humans who live so long and worry so much about unimportant things that aren’t food at all.

I told Bodil about my diabetes too. And we talked a little about that. Thomas heard us and joined the conversation. Turns out he has diabetes too. Type 1. His story was a bit more dramatic than mine. He had passed out and been rushed to hospital in an ambulance. He had some other things wrong with him too and it turned out that he was like 8 hours away from dying. Something like that. He’d been in a coma. Scary. So take diabetes seriously, kids. It was nice to talk about it with him, though. He’s a nice fella. And having a normal conversation like that, sharing experiences, it’s just a good feeling. Not something I’m used to. It was almost… normal. Bodil happy to see me, talking to everyone, laughing at the lambs. Nice, normal relations with other people. It’s a very good feeling.

Kurt had some nice news too. He told me that Vanilje will be having babies within the next 4 weeks. So that will great. She is pregnant by Thor. Magnethe isn’t. Her babies aren’t expected until April. With Tyr as the father. Tyr is the name of the new buck. So no Romeo or Tyson. Tyr means “bull” in Danish. It can also be sort of slang for “stud”.

But goat babies to join the lamblings, that will be great. Just what the doctoe ordered.

I left the playground with a big smile on my face. Feeling much better. And the last of my photo stuff had come in at F?tex. I am currently wearing a T-shirt iwth a picture of Magnethe on the front. It’s not the best quality, but I thought it would be nice to have. When summer comes round I’ll wear it to the playground and see if she recognises herself! She’ll probably just try to eat it though, if I know her right.

I also got a nice email from my old pal Corrie. I sent her one of my xmas cards. It was nice to hear from her again. She told me about her dad having diabetes and his eyesight problems too. Apparently he woke up one morning after 6+ weeks and suddenly his sight was better. So maybe there is hope for me still. Nothing to do but wait and see, wait and see how much I can see. But thank you Corrie.

And that is all for today.

Today didn’t get off to the best start. i woke up and my eyesight was just horrible.
