It wasn’t as bad as I had feared anyway. But still I woke up with a stiff back. It hurt when I turned it. There’s always something, isn’t there? I think it’s better now though. Just a little stiff still.

Other than that I am tired. I don’t mean sleepy. just tired. All I want is to go to bed. You know how the mobsters tie a concrete block to a body to get it to sink to the bottom of the river? I feel like tying a concrete block to my feet and sinking to the bottom of the bed. Never to surface again.

But let’s have some pictures instead.

That’s Gertrude, not sure if she wants to come out or not. Cold and snowy. She did eventually decide to come all the way out though.

Can you spot the bunny? Both of them, I mean. The white one is nicely camouflaged. I have seen him a lot lately. When I get to the playground and open the gate he’s usually hanging out at the chicken coop. Right next to the gate. And then he’ll come running over and sniff at my shoes. I guess he’s allowed to run around on his own. It’s always fun when one of the critters step up and get a more defined personalitly. If you know what I mean? Lots and lots of bunnies, but suddenly there’s one that breaks out from the flock. I like him.

I like goat boys too. There one of them has settled down in the food through.

And there is the famous two-headed goat boy.

So that’s not too bad.

Oh also, you know how TV is my life and stuff? And how Ted the lawyer is the my favourite Scrubs character? So you can imagine I was all happy when he got the girl in the latest episode. And his acapella band did (Don’t Fear) The Reaper! Awesome. Ted rules. I hope he finds true love. And smoking hot sex. I always have sympathy for characters who are incredibly socially awkward and can’t talk to girls. I wonder why.

On a completely different note, I remember this one time in school when the teachers decided to do an experiment and split the class into a boy half and a girl half. Now all through my school years I was always told how I was very bright and knew the material and so on and so forth but I just needed to open my mouth and speak up and say things. And what happened when there were suddenly no girls in the class room? I suddenly found it much easier to put my hand up and be asked. This also happened to happen right before we were due to get our grades. I clearly remember the Danish class were I was putting my hand up and answering lots of questions and feeling all happy. And then the teacher said something like “Even though you’re due to get your grades soon you should know that being super active in class right now isn’t going to make a difference to them, so don’t bother”. She thought that I was being active because I wanted to give a good last-minute impression and get better grades. The thought hadn’t even crossed my line. It wasn’t about improving grades. I just felt liberated. But after she said that I thought to myself I thought “well fuck that then, if you don’t want me being active I won’t” and then I shut up. And soon after the experiment ended and girls and boys were mixed and I never spoke again. More or less. I wonder how different my life would have been if I had gone to an all-boys school. Or had learned to talk to girls. Who knows.

By the way I usually got good grades. Ranging from Ok in orals to great in writtens. And I got the highest possible grade for my final French exam, have I mentioned that (lately)? My proudest moment. French was probably the subject where I got the best grades in oral. I was good at it technically, and then it mattered less what I actually said. French was hard for a lot of people so as long as I had a big vocabulary and reasonable pronounciation then I was already at the top of the class. Didn’t have to worry about saying something stupid. As long as it was in French then it was okay. It felt sort of like putting on a mask. Hiding yourself. The liberation again. Au clair de la Plume.

English was sort of the same thing. Less of a mask, because a lot of people were good or at least okay at it. But still, it came so easy to me that I didn’t have to worry so much about saying stupid things, in English. If I said something stupid then it’d still be in near perfect English so it wouldn’t be a disaster.

I’m sorry, I got all school-nostalgic there. Didn’t mean to write all that. Too bad there isn’t some magical way to delete the stuff you write on the computer. That’d be real handy. Oh well. Quelle domage.

Arrivederci, Luigi.

PS. Ted & Gooch.

PPS. Don’t fear the reaper.

PPS.
