Still not a lot going on in 2010.<\/p>\n
I made it to the foot therapist yesterday. Had my feet pampered for a while. I’m quite ticklish, though, so I have to try not to jump too much. But it’s nice, and the foot therapist is a nice guy.<\/p>\n
Did a little site work today. For the first time in 5 months. Fixed up the old entry list<\/a> which was abandoned back when my site almost died and I lost lots of entries. Also updated my book page<\/a>. Now that I have audiobooks there is actually something to put on there.<\/p>\n Speaking of books, I got one in the mail today. I can’t remember if I mentioned it, but I ordered The Official Book of Ultima on amazon. I have wanted that book for so long. And now I have it. I was secretly hoping that they had used a font big enough for me to read. But no such luck. I can almost read it. A little. But it would be too hard to read the whole thing. So I guess all I can do is put it on the book shelf and hope for some day things will get better. Maybe when I get the oil out of my eyes and have to start wearing glasses again. Maybe then I will be able to read it. You never know. Better not get my hopes up.<\/p>\n In other news, I have watched three movies in the last week’s time. It’s nice to be “reading” books again and watching movies. Although it’s difficult, the movies. Three quite different experiences. There was I Love You, Beth Cooper. Very easy to follow, almost like a long sitcom, linear and uncomplicated. Then there was The Time Traveler’s Wife. Very unlinear because of all the time jumps. Made it much harder to follow. But it helped that I had read the book of course. I love the book. The movie wasn’t near as good. The book was one of the first I read when I startred “seriously” reading again. It’s still one of my favourites.<\/p>\n The final movie was Terminator Salvation. That was the hardest to follow because of all the dark, fast action. I also watched the new Star Trek movie and that had some of the same problem. Sci-fi CGI action. I used to love that stuff. Now it’s difficult to watch. It was kind of funny, I almost fell asleep to Terminator. I was sitting there in my comfy chair with my head slowly slipping down, almost nodding off. Like an old grandad watching a documentary or something. It’s a little strange, almost nodding off to loud killer robots and nuclear explosions. But oh well. It helps to go on wikipedia afterwards and read up on the plot.
