Not that I was expecting anything else. But it was with a bit of trepidation that I arrived at the playground. “please-no-bad-news-please-no-bad-news”. And thankfully there were no bad news. They are all doing well. And the kids are so darn cute.

Kurt came by today. Good to see him. He seemed well. And he brought news of Vanilje’s kid. She’s doing great. And yes, she is a she after all. That is actually really good news. That means there’s a lot bigger chance of a return to the playground later on. And there’s a chance she could have kids of her own some day, and so Vanilje’s legacy could live on like that. Let us hope. But in any case, she is doing really good at Kurt’s place. Apparently she is twice as big now. Okay, maybe he exaggerated a little about that. But she’s growing. So that is wonderful.

Kurt also said that he wants to buy Magnethe’s boy. He doesn’t have a buck of his own right now, and since there is no relation between his goats and Magnethe, her boy would be a perfect candidate. It won’t happen for some time yet of course. While I do not like to start thinking of saying goodbye already, at least it’s good to know that the boy will be going to Kurt when the time comes. Instead of being slaughtered or sold off to a far-off place. If he goes to Kurt then there’s a bigger chance of seeing him again in the future as well. And I know he will be happy there.

But for now I will enjoy his company as much as possible. He’s a beautiful little one. He’s the one with the black head. I love that colour. So pretty. The girl is the one with the brown head. They are both adorable.

Bodil came by too. To check on the little ones. Magnethe was obviously on guard because of Sif. “Because of course she’s very dangerous” as Bodil said. Tiny little dog. Almost smaller than the kids I think.

And Mikkel the intern was at work. He was very nice. Asked me if I wanted a glass of water or a cup of coffee or something. Just to ask if there was anything I wanted. Bodil said they should bring me a thermos with hot soup so I could stay there all night. Sounds like a plan.

But I did leave eventually. Leaving the gate open behind me. That was Per’s suggestion. To see if the little ones wanted to go exploring outside. I wonder if they did. Before I left I did try to coax them a bit, but they wanted to stay in the safety of the hay. And Magnethe didn’t want to leave them behind. So no luck for me. But it won’t be long before they’re bouncing around outside, I’m quite sure of it.

And yes, of course there’s a new video. youtube.com/watch?v=FywQ9jmSYy8.

I had to run for the bus on my way home. That was a bit daunting. I was heading down some stairs when I saw the bus coming at the stop. Luckily it stopped to let off some people, and then it waited for me. So I got on it okay. Transportation has been going okay in general. I’ve been going to the playground on my own again, with no real problems. I feel more confident crossing the road outside my apartment, to get to the bus stop there. It used to scare me somewhat, but I feel like I can see just enough for it not to be dangerous. So far so good anyway.

Oh and I don’t know what I was thinking when I said Magnethe doesn’t have one of those yellow ear clips. Of course she does. I must be going blind or something.

I am happy to report that Magnethe and her babies are still doing just fine today.
