Still postponed.

And in other bad news, my Aukey purchase has fallen through. No portable video magnification reader for me. Not yet, anyway. I’m going to try to get one for free through the Danish handicap services, although it won’t be an Aukey. Too bad, it looked really neat. I hope I can get one like that. We’ll see. I’m going to try calling the sight central tomorrow.

Since my schedule was wide open for today I decided to go see the goats. Hadn’t seen them all week, so I really felt that I had to go. Despite the fact that it was raining. I’m a lot like goats in many ways, but luckily I don’t hate the rain as much as they do.

The goats were inside, of course. They were in what I used to refer to as the goat house. But I guess it’s not the goat house anymore. There is still a compartment with chickens and bunnies. But where the goats and sheep used to be there is no more hay. Now it seems to be functioning as a garage for the big, yellow vehicle thing. Have I ever shown that? I don’t know. I’m not sure exactly what it does. I don’t think I have ever actually seen it driving around anywhere. But I remember when I was working as weekend feeder I used to have to crawl around it because it was parked in the fodderbox place.

Anyway, here’s a video so you can see it: youtube.com/watch?v=KjjK3w6UZMA. Hans loved climbing around on it.

I wanted to see if I could get the goats out a little, so I picked up Hans and carried him to the sitting place under the half-roof outside. The others didn’t want to follow us out in the rain, though. I went back to get Grethe, but Hans just followed me back. You can never get goats to go where you want them, I have noticed. On several occasions. A little later on I picked up Grethe and carried her out under the half-roof. And Hans followed. So we were sitting out there, but Magnethe was still in the ex-goat house. Baahing for her babies, while they were baahing back. You can see that in the video as well. Just when I was about to give up and get the kids back inside with mama, she decided to come out. Through the rain, she joined us under the half-roof. But I guess it didn’t give enough cover for the rain. She quickly moved on. She ended up at the fodderboxes, of course. I tried to get them all out of there, but have you ever tried getting goats away from food? And then tried doing it while it’s raining outside? Getting goats away from food and into rain, that is not easy. Eventually Per showed up and helped me. He dragged Magnethe off while I carried Hans, and Grethe came running after. So in the end, we all ended up back in the ex-goat house and I had to settle for staying in there. Which wasn’t so bad, to be fair. I don’t mind the rain, but it is more fun when the sun is out and the goats can walk around and there are visitors and all that. Still, as long as the goats are there then it is a good time.

Now… back to waiting.

So today should have been the day for the final eye surgery.
