Today I washed the floor in my apartment. Proper washed. With bucket and mop. For the first time since I moved in. Which is some 3\u00bd years ago now. So I guess it was long overdue.<\/p>\n
I’m not sure I did a very good job of it. But I give myself an A for effort. It’s harder than you think, even in a tiny apartment like mine. And now at least I’ve gotten it done. With the state of the floors in this building, no amount of washing will ever make them look good anyway. They’re definitely due for a replacement.<\/p>\n
I also got rid of my old vacuum cleaner. The new one is still doing excellently with powerful suction and all. But I had kept the old one, just in case. You never know what happens etc. Today I asked my dad to take it down to the trash. Turns out he gave it to my neighbours instead. I heard them talking out in the hall where he offered it to them. So now my next-door neighbours have my old vacuum cleaner. Funny how that goes. I guess since it still works it would be a waste to just throw it out. Although it isn’t particularly good. But I hope they’ll get some use out of it.<\/p>\n
