There goes the last of the soup. Down the hatch. You can’t complain when you’ve had soup for dinner from Sunday to Friday. That’s a good run. A couple more days and you might run the risk of getting tired of it. Unless you were me, of course. But now it’s time to clear the digestive system for the next batch.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday I went back to my parents’ place. This time not for soup but for computer technician duties. Their computer had a virus. A virus that changed the hosts file so google wouldn’t work, amongst other things. You don’t realise how much you rely on google until it’s gone. But I managed to fix things. It annoys me though that AVG antivirus, which they have installed, did not prevent the virus infection. And did not detect it during a scan. Good thing I brought a Kaspersky recovery CD. That found and fixed the virus. Now I just need to teach my parents and brother not to install strange programs and not to click on dodgy links.<\/p>\n
It took me a couple of hours to get it fixed. Afterwards I went to the playground and spent some time with the goats. Bob wasn’t feeling too well. I think he had been overeating. He seemed drowsy and unresponsive. You know a goat isn’t feeling well when it isn’t interested in treats. I picked him up and sat on the bench with him. And he wasn’t at all interested in squirming out of my lap. He just sat there quietly while I scratched his chin and behind his ears. Poor little fella. Goats don’t know how to limit themselves with food. Kinda like me and soup.<\/p>\n
The new goat girl seemed to have found herself a little more at home. She came over to me several times. Still walking in a big circle around Magnethe and Mio, though. She’s learning the ropes. Magnethe and Mio were standing next to each other with their front legs up on one of the logs on the ground. It almost looked like they were equals. It’s nice to see Mio with more confidence and status. Magnethe could still chase her around. But they’re getting along better. Now that they have a common “enemy” to bully. It’s like a big kindergarten in that goat fold.<\/p>\n
Today I got another christmas present in the mail. Another calendar! This one from the lovely Debster. With lovely, silly squirrels. I’m going to have a hard time coming up with excuses for forgetting dates next year! Thank you, Deb! It is extremely sweet. For the card as well. Please pass my thanks on to the husband and all the others.<\/p>\n
