We have had some trouble at the playground. On Monday the goats caused trouble! Well, not really. Someone had left the gate to the pen open so when they were let out in the pen they just proceeded to march out. But since I was there to keep an eye on them they were allowed to walk around freely. So that was really nice. After having been cooped up inside so much recently it was good to see them all free and with a bounty of fallen leaves to enjoy.<\/p>\n

On Thursday there was a fallen tree. The one where Hans and Sigrid put up a hayholder not too long ago. It was an old, deadish tree that didn’t stand too firmly. So at first I thought, hoped, that it had been taken down by the wind. Or the goats leaning on the hayholder. But one of the other tree logs had been moved and Mia’s namesign had been broken and part of the hatch had been broken off too. And someone had smashed windows in the main playground building. So I guess vandals had been at it. Again. It’s sad and frustrating that people have to ruin it for everyone else. Kids and animals. But at least the goats seem to be happy and doing well.<\/p>\n

I have had pancakes this weekend. Yumyum. My dad was nice enough to make them for me. And in return, well not really but coincidentally, I spent a lot of time this weekend working on one of my old computers that I’m giving to my parents. It’s actually a rather expensive and powerful one. With my own copy of Windows 7. I hate Windows 7, but hopefully it will be suitable for my parents. That and Firefox instead of Windows XP and Internet Explorer. Hopefully that will mean less intrusive toolbars, malware and viruses. I Spent a lot of time getting it right but I’m happy with how I have it set up. With portable programs and user directories moved to the data drive. This means I can make a clone image of the Windows installation and once they inevitably get it junked up I can just restore the clone image and the computer will be good as new. That’s the theory anyway. Hopefully it will all work out without me having to do tons of troubleshooting and support calls!<\/p>\n
