Winter is certainly here. It’s been cold. Especially the windy days. Windchill down to -15C\/5F. Now that ain’t nice. Snow too. Not a ton, though. But while a lot of it melted away fairly quickly on the streets and pavements it did last longer in the goat pen. I do enjoy the sound of goat hooves in the snow. Especially when they run around and chase each other. Kamel and Mia have been butting heads quite a bit. And when Mio sees it she trundles along and splits them up. Sometimes it seems like she’s trying to stop them. And sometimes it seems like she just wants to join the fight. And then they gang up on poor Kamel. Not fair! <\/p>\n

No babies yet. Bodil called me today while I was exercising and left a message on my cell. She was at the playground and there were no goat kids to be seen. One week left of January. If my calculations are to hold true then she better get going, big Mio. <\/p>\n

It would be nice if they’d come soon. Next week is Sigrid’s last, as far as I know. I was really sad to hear that. She’ll be going on leave in February and then starting her vegan caf\u00e9\/restaurant thing in August. So that really sucks for us. But I’m happy for her. I hope it’ll be a great succes. She has meant a lot to me. I will definitely miss her. I hope the care of the animals won’t suffer. “All I can do is write down what I do and hope they’ll follow it”. She’s always care a lot about the well being of the animals. I think Per has stopped too. I haven’t seen him in a long, long time and as far as I can understand he probably won’t be coming back. That’s sad too. He was there when I started going to the playground. Now there’s only me and Alice left from those days I guess. Kurt still comes around to visit. But other than that it’s mostly new folks and new animals. I do worry if something like what happened last year when Mia and Palle overate happened again, will there be people there who knows what to do and how to take care of it? I remember spending time with Per and Sigrid talking about it and trying various things. But we’ll do our best of course. I’m sure it’ll all be okay. I just miss the old days, sometimes.
