It’s beginning to look a lot like almost christmas. Just a few days now. I don’t have any big plans. Just the usual. It doesn’t look like we’ll be having a white christmas this year. In fact it’s been a very mild winter. Not that that’s going to stop me complaining about the cold. “It’s summerwarm” my father says. Not to me, it isn’t!<\/p>\n

Had my half yearly checkup at the eye doc on Monday. Business as usual. It looks peaceful and stable, he said. So that’s good. He said he was impressed by how good it looked, all things considered. He’d done the kind of operations that I have had himself in the past, and he knew how complicated they could be. Things could have ended up a lot worse. I appreciate what I have.<\/p>\n

At the playground there was a hay shortage this week. We ran out. The goats were not pleased. We let them out and they proceeded to ransack the horse stable, the bunny house. the bunny enclosure, the chicken coop and the hay wagon (with only bales of straw) looking for leftovers. Eventually they moved out to the little lawn at the side of the playground. And discovered there was still grass! Not superfresh, yummy green summergrass. But good enough to eat. So I walked around with them and watched them graze. Eventually rain was replaced by sunshine, and if it wasn’t for the temperature it could almost have been a summer day. I love watching and listening to the groats grazing.<\/p>\n
