\nGood goat times today. Although the weather got cold again. Cold and dark with some rain later on. I thought we were heading for spring… Hope we’ll get there soon.
\nWhen I got to the goats I realised I’d dropped one of my mittens on the way. I had to go back and look for it. The goaties were not happy about this particular decision of mine. “YOU JUST GOT HERE, WHY ARE YOU LEAVING ALREADY?!”. Even A38 was bleating after me. I managed to find the lost mitten and came back carrying treats so I think they forgave me. I also had the delight of seeing Black Beauty roll around on her back in the mud. If it wasn’t so cold I would have been tempted to join her. Looked like fun. Messy, but fun.

\nGood goat times today. In fact wonderful weather. According to the forecast it was 10C\/50F – 13C\/55F. I think that’s a record for the year. It was so warm that halfway to the goats I had to take off my little scarf. For the first time since I don’t know, October? And for the first time since the snowdays I found the goats out in the horse pasture. The mud dried up enough for them to go out. So I got a running bleating greeting from Mia. Love those. Later on we took a run through the pasture together. She almost started bucking around like Palle. And even later I got a sure sign that it was warmer, because the goaties started sitting down to relax. I rarely see them do that when it’s cold. Nothing better than sitting down in a pile of goats and just relaxing. I don’t think it’s going to stay this warm from now on, but it’s a nice sign of things to come. We’ll get there. To sunny days and beyond.
