\nGood goat times today. A lovely day with lots of sunshine through thin clouds. Warmer and warmer as the day wore on.
\nUnfortunately the newbies hadn’t been let out when I got there. Dangit. I did have some problems with the lock on the outer gate, and there was a new lock on the goat house, it doesn’t require a key but it was a little finicky to get open. Hopefully the morning guy just had problems getting in and it’ll be solved and he can start letting them out again in the mornings. Hooves crossed.
\nGot them all out when we went greening. The greens are getting good and the goats are enjoying them. We met nice people too. Kindergarteners out of the kindergarten. And at one point while I was sitting and watching the goats and older lady came over and sat next to me. She was excited tos ee goats out. We talked a bit, and I think she filmed the goats too. And called her friend. Who then showed up. And she was even more excited to see goats. “I never thought i’d see such a thing”. Haha. She was really happy to see goats out in the wild. And it sounded like those ladies were planning to come back and see the goats regularly. Sounded like they wanted to see Nuller grow up. Not like he’s going to get much bigger now. But they where very nice.
\nAnd then we went and relaxed in the pen. I got yawns from both Sky and Mia. I think those may have been the first yawns of the season. At lest that I have seen. When the weather gets warmer, the yawns always start coming. I do love a good goat yawn. And a good goat yarn.

\nWe did have a mishap today. Thankfully this is just the (fairly cheap) filter that I had on my lens. If this had happened to the actual camera lens then it would have been byebye camera. Hopefully my camera is still functioning properly.
\nWhat happened was, I put my camera on the fence while I was setting up to shoot a video. And the strap was hanging down. And one of the goats, I think it was Milo, managed to get his head caught in the strap and pull the camera off the fence. And then he got scared by the evil camera that was following him around so he ran around and bucked a little until he flung the camera into one of the rocks. Oh dear. Poor frightened boy. But he was fine. Better than the filter.
\nMy eyes are always messed up after a day out in the sun, so I can’t really judge if the photos and videos I took AFTER this happened are okay. I’ll have to check tomorrow when my eyes are a little better again. Hooves crossed everything still works.

\nOh dear lord. I just read that Facebook will be going through a redesign in the coming weeks? If there’s one thing I know for absolutely certain it is that change is always bad and things always get worse and there’s definitely no way they have thought about visually impaired people during the process. Fuckety fuck-fuck fuck.

\nGood goat times today. Lovely, warm day. Though with some cold wind especially in the morning. But it’s going to get a little colder now, so I had to get out and enjoy it. And that I did. Just as I arrived at the goat pen there came a group of kids, kindergarteners I think. “ARE YOU THE GOATS FRIEND?!” one asked. They were pleased that the goats had friends. And then the goats went out and started attacking the greens, with kids scurrying around them, bravely petting them and laughing at random goat things. Kinda like what I do. Also laughing every time a goat peed or pooped. One of their adults said “look, you can see where the poop comes out”. What I like to call a ‘Keiko moment’.
\nLater on I was sitting and watching the goats when one of the playground workers arrived. I should know his name.. but ..face blindness. You know. I think he’s actually the supervisor, the head of the whole hing. Well anyway, he stopped and said hi. Gave some cuddles to Nuller, who had jumped up on the bleachers. And he said “it’s so great that you come and take the goats out, the kids really love it”. So that was very nice to hear. Good to be appreciated. Good to be able to give some good experiences, especially to the kids. And just people in the neighbourbood. Many people are surprised when they see the goats outside. Sometimes they come and ask if they escaped or if I took them out haha. And the kindergarteners always come running happily to the fence to see them. “The goats are out!” is a phrase I hear a lot. We should entertain at birthday parties.
