\nGood goat times today. Cold morning. Getting down near 5C\/41F in the morning. Cold enough to feel it on the skin. Gets a little warmer as the day wears on, but.. I miss summer.
\nJust as I arrived at the goats I was joined by a little group of kids, daycare or kindergarten I assume. They were quite loud and happy to see the goats. They bleated at the goats and the goats bleated back. Especially Nuller and Lily are very needy bleaters. Maybe it was because I didn’t let them out of the pen, or maybe it was because of the kids. But they had lots to say. So loud. And the human kids enjoyed the spectacle. I did the hoofshake trick with Mia, much to everyone’s delight. Once that big group went away there was a mother with a little kid left and we talked a little. Then I let the goats out. We couldn’t go our normal today. There were workers hard at work, in both the places we nornally go when we head into the playground area. So we went the other way, along the horse fence. The gap between the trees and the fence is a good place for the goaties to get some greens. It’s not quite as fun for me because there’s less room for running around and being silly. But as long as the goats are happy, so am I.
\nLater back to the pen. To relax a bit. Although we were disturbed by the workes outside the pen again. They were rolling out grass on the little soccer pitch they’re making. The goats were extremely concerned about what was going on. They lined up and snortred and sneezed. Huffing and puffing. Danger danger! If looks could kill, those workers would have burst in flames. I can’t blame the goats, I feel the same way when humans get near where I live.

\nGuess what happened today? For the first time in months, Milo jumped up on my back. Aw, that’s a good boy. It happened kinda randomly. Nuller was up on my back and Milo knocked him off.. and then jumped up there. I made sure to quickly give him a treat to reinforce the behaviour. And sure enough, I leaned over a few times, and Milo jumped up. I’m glad he hasn’t forgotten how to do it. Although it’s taking a little more effort now, I think. I could hear him panting a little, as if it was exercise for him haha. He’s not as agile and light as Nuller. Big boy. But that was nice.
