\nBack home from more tech work at the parental domestic unit of allocation.
\nDon’t think I fixed the problem. Though it got better. Maybe. I don’t know. STOP HARRASSING ME.
\nSorry. Feeling stressed. I did all the things I could think of to fix an internet. Not THE internet. You can’t fix the internet. Don’t read the comments and don’t feed the trolls, don’t read the comments and don’t feed the trolls.
\nSo anyway, yes I did that. And it didn’t fix the internet, any of it. So I hooked up their old Windows 7 computer and the internet works fine on that. No problem. So it must be a problem with the new PC, right? Right.
\nThen I hook the new computer again. How do you hook up a computer? You meet it on grinder and hook up?
\nSo anyway. I was ready to give up for the day and then I start pulling and pushing at cables. And it seemed like pushing the cable into the socket a bit helped. And then I switched the network cable to another port on the router and again it seemed to help. For a few minutes the internet was fine. Then it cut out. But only for a brief moment, not as long as before. And now I don’t know waht’s up or down and I want to grow my hair back so I can tear it out.
\nIs it a problem with the router? The cables? The PC? Grrrargh.
\nI have instructed my dad to buy a couple of new network cables, becaus I just want to try that. I know it’s not going tow ork. Why would a new Windows 10 PC be more sensitive to old, worn cables than an old Windows 7 PC?
\nSigh. I’m worried I’ll have to send the PC back to the shop and that would be pretty difficult what with our whole family being physically frail and then they’d probably just find no problem and then we’d have to pay a fee for that.
\nI’m just frustrated because I know I’ll have to call support. Either isp support or pc manufacturer support or both and calling human people stresses me out and really this is what is causing my huge anxiety right now. I’d rather be hit by a truck.I can’t talk to humans, and I can’t even read the letters on the keyboard I’m using and everything is awful RURAL JUROR.
\nI haven’t even see the goats this week because I’m such a weak wuss that I can’t do more than one thing in a day, if that. I can’t sit for hours away from my home working ona computer and then go to see the goats because that would be TWO things away from the safety of my cave dwelling. I cannot handle the real world.
\nAnyway. I just had to vent. Please forgive me if you actually read through all that. I’m going to wait for the new network cables to arrive to see if that somehow magically fixes everything.
\nI just wanted to do something nice for my parents, why does everything always go wrong, oh wait I have soup. I guess I’ll live for now.

\nI don’t like being reminded of what a failure as a human being I am. It’s much nicer with the goats, I can pretend I’m a bigshot and great at everything and succesful because I got 11,000 Likes and I can be funny and share the goats womst are awesome.
\nThen I have to do real lifing and I’m like a cranky baby who just wants a nap and everything to go away.

\nOh, I just realized. The site where we bought the new computer. Has email support. I suppose I might as well shoot them an email and ask if they have any ideas about the network problem. I mean, it’s a way to postpone having to call someone..
\nAlso, I am heading off to the bedspace now. Into dreams where everything is better, the sweet release of the dark night.

\nOh, just a quick update. I just called my parents to check on things. And it seems teh cable swapping I did has helped the considerably. A couple of tiny dropouts but otherwise the internet seems to have worked ok after I left.
\nSo that..’s good. Maybe I can avoid suppor calls and stuff. We’ll see how it goes. Crossign all my fingers that it’ll keep working. That would be a huge relief.
\nCould have caused some other problems, though. But . Hey, progress.
\nNow, I’m going to go dream.
