\nGood goat times today. A cold morning. Not much more than 10C\/50F in the morning. Too cold for me. First time this season when I felt the cold on my skin. I think my intolerance to cold has gotten worse this year. It’s no good. And now heading into 5 months of feeling cold. It makes me sad.
\nBut the goats make me happy, so that’s good. And thankfully the sun came out and it became a little nicer to be out. We had sweet visitors too. Kids around the fence. Mia sticking her snout out through the fence so the kids could pet her. The adult with them had to go “No Maria, don’t poke her with the stick”. Kid kept doing it, but not too hard. Not enough to bother Mia, who was doing her usual great work of letting the kids pet her.
\nThere was a woman with a little girl in a stroller too, she told me she remembered how I used to take the goats out for walks in the neighbourhood, she missed that. So do I!
\nNow I have to look into the option of hibernation.

\nToday’s bandit bulletin. I had my jacket on today, but when the sun came out and it got a bit warmer I took it off. And then Milo ran off, because my jacket is on the list of things that are scary to him.
\nHe got his revenge later on when he managed to pickpocket me. Got my bag of raisins out of my pocket and swung it around like jaws with a body. Sent all the raisins flying everywhere. And suddenly there was a group of goats frantically sniffing around on the ground, feasting on the raisins.

\nGood goat times today. A beautiful day with a lot of sun. Just below 20C\/68F. I don’t think we’ll get above that anymore this season, but i’ll take a nice warm day like today. Quite likely the last day when I leave home without my jacket and the last time I put a bottle in the freezer the night before to ensure chilled beverage on the trip.
\nBut again, hopefully we’ll have some comfy fall days and a mild season.
\nI made sure to enjoy sitting in the sun with the goats. That’s something i will miss when i t gets cooler too. The goats sit down less when it’s cold. They usually just stand and chew their cud. But there’s just something lovely about sitting in the sun with them
\nWe had some sweet visitors too, and I got the goats over to the fence so the kids could have some closeup time. And bring some leaves for the goats, for which the goats were thankful. There was a kid who told me that he had a toy called Sky too. I couldn’t quite catch what kind of toy he siad it was, a chobot or roblox or whatever the kids are into these days? It sounded like some tv-comemrcialised toy. But named Sky, so that was sweet. Lots of cuddles for little Sky.

\nHappy to see Brett Goldstein won an Emmy. Roy Kent really is my favourite character on TV right now.
\nI was thinking about why I like season 2 of Ted Lasso slightly less, and I think maybe it’s because we don’t get the same amount of ‘fish out of water’ \/ yankie in britain content. It makes sense, now that Ted has been in Engerland for so long, you can’t keep pretending that he’s just gotten off the plane. But I do miss some of that humour. Like my favourite joke of all time. Cheers! Night Court!
\nYou had to be there.
\nAnyway, I’m still loving Ted Lasso a lot. And in season 2 it’s especially Roy. He’s got the funniest lines and also one of the best emotional moments. And the stuff with him and his little niece just kills me.
\nSo yeah, a well deserved Emmy for him. And to all the other Ted Lasso winners. I love that show. Looking forward to Sudeikis hosting snl soon.
\nOther than Ted Lasso, I am currently just mostly watching… Seinfeld. I have a ton of contemporary TV that I need to catch up on, but I keep just going “aah, just one more episode of Seinfeld”. That show really holds up. It’s been so long since I last watched it that a lot of it feels fairly fresh, but at the same time it’s so iconic and familiar that it feels like catching up with old friends. I just watched the Bookman episodes. It’s still the funniest shirt this side of shirtsville.
\nAll of this to avoid talking about how my depression seems to be growing, maybe because I’m feeling colder and colder.
