One positive, one negative.

The negative one was tiredness. I am regularly tired but those two days were just awful. So tired that it almost made me stay home. Sometimes I think that the tiredness is going to be what stops me from having a normal life, not the social phobia. How can I ever get a normal job when I can’t go for more than an hour or two before I get tired?

But yes, I’ll work on getting in better shape and maybe some sunlight therapy and who knows. Maybe I should go to bed and sleep for 40 days and 40 nights and then when I wake up I will finally be rested.

The positive thing has been the playground. Of course the playground is always positive. But it was even better when I found that the goats had been set free. Roaming wildly wherever they wanted. Just how it should be. I said that not so long ago here in the blog. That I missed the days when the goats where out and about instead of fenced in. I got my wish.

Kurt explained to me that they were trying to “liven things up” a bit. Because now that the bird flu is officially all over Denmark they can’t let their chickens and geese and ducks wander around.

“Do not let the geese out”.

So now the goats have taken over.

Going around, grassing, generally causing mayhem. And I must say I love it. It’s much better. For me. Not that I didn’t love spending time with them in their fold. But when I walk around with them like this then I am much more part of the playground in general. I get to see the kids play. The adults work. Talk to people. See the other animals. Sit down wherever I want and have Mads come over to me. Wonderful.

Kurt continued: “Now we’ll see if it goes okay”. Meaning that hopefully the goats won’t get in too much trouble and start wandering too far away and all that. But I hope they’ll stay free, I’m sure they prefer that too.

Kids playing.

Adults working. That’s Kurt watching while Per is cutting down branches.

That’s Mathilde checking Per out.

And that’s the goats munching on fallen branches. While a kid is racing in the background. It’s just so much more lively like this. When the goats are fenced in I sit on a bench and I do have fun with them but it’s just a little isolated space. With few visits. And no places to escape Mads. He is so possessive, he won’t let me be alone with the girls. But when we’re outside then there are things for him to investigate and lots of space and then it’s much easier to get alone time with Mathilde and Magnethe.

You almost forget that they are mother and daughter. It will indeed be interesting to see what happens when Mathilde gets a new kid. How Magnethe will react. How the whole group dynamic will be when new kids arrive. It’s hard to picture Magnethe as a mother. She’s still my little cute girl.

I feel like I’m going to be a grandaddy or something. Grandaddy Plume.

And Mads…

Well, Mads will be Mads.

Of that I’m sure. It’ll take more than a few young’uns to change him.

Kurt and Magnethe:

Seems like only yesterday…

…that he could pick her up. And yet that is almost exactly a year ago to the date. I forgot to celebrate Magnethe’s birthday. She was born right around my birthday too. A year old. Amazing. I will never get tired of her.

Now I was going to complain that I hadn’t seen Moomincat for 3-4 days. But then today he came around twice and so I have nothing to complain about. First time he sneaked into the living room while I was sitting at the computer. Silly thing, didn’t even come seek me out. He was in the other end of the room and I didn’t notice him till I got up to go get a drink. The second time he came in through the window while I was lying in bed, getting ready for a nap. I heard a noise in the window and looked up, and then his face peeked in through the curtains. And he got into that position, you know, the “getting ready to jump” position. And then he leaped down on the bed. It still sort of amazes me, that he just comes in through my window like that. It sounds like a fairy tale. The Cat Through The Window.

Other things from the last couple of days:

It snowed. Not much, unfortunately. But it did lead to one wonderful scene. I was standing in a crowded bus, on my way home from work. So many people that I could barely move. And then suddenly something white fell from above. I looked out of the window and saw snow falling. And then I looked around in the bus and saw snow falling. Inside the bus. Then I looked up and saw that the skylight window was slightly open, so that explained why it was snowing inside. But for a brief moment it was like magic. Like the skies had decided to calm my fear of people with snow, even inside the bus.

I had a nice moment with Sanne, my boss, too. She said “You like animals, don’t you?”. And I said yes and she called me over to her computer. Where she showed me pictures of her sister’s kids all dressed up like animals. Very sweet and funny pictures. And very nice to have a social situation like that. And also very nice to be known as someone who loves animals. I guess it has become quite a part of my personality. I am the guy who loves the goats. The cats. The lambs. That’s not a bad character trait, is it now?

I have added a couple of pages to the site. Nothing revolutionary or exciting though. A Championship Manager page which is only of interest to myself. I create players and clubs, and I’d like to sort of remember them after I move on. So there. Complete waste of time. And then a book page. Seeing as though I am now reading for pleasure I figured I’d keep a list. Not very long or interesting. But there you go. I have several books waiting for me in my room now. But I still take recommendations for new ones. Finally: a photo page. Which is just basically a top pick page. Nothing new, nothing lost.

Happy belated birthday, Magnethe! What a beautiful baby you were!

And what a beautiful girl you are now!

Two major themes for Thursday and Friday.
