Okay. I have kept you waiting long enough. It’s time for pictures of Magnethe’s little babies. This batch of pictures is from Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Their first three days in this world. Again I must apologize for the brightness\/contrast, but I am just not good at taking pictures in that stable. It’s worst when I take pictures where I’m in the shot, I have the camera right in my face so I go from being just pale to being pale… in higher brightness\/contrast. But it’s the kids that matter anyway.<\/p>\n

Oh yes, they don’t have official names yet. Kurt wasn’t there today, so I couldn’t talk to him about it.<\/p>\n

\nThe girl. One of the (human) kids named her Mini. It might stick, even if she grows.<\/p>\n

\nThe first boy. Looks a lot like Nougat. Only darker. Would Marzipan be a good name for him? His colour is closer to marzipan than…<\/p>\n

\nThe brown boy. He is so beautiful. Looks a lot like his mother, only brown all over. No white feet.<\/p>\n

Just like his mother.<\/p>\n

And just look at her. Isn’t she thin? I think she’s very happy that the whole ordeal is over. Of course now she has three little bandits to take care of. That can be an ordeal too. <\/p>\n

Crawling all over her.<\/p>\n

Must be hard to keep track of them all.<\/p>\n

She doesn’t mind that they climb on her though. Unlike when Mathilde’s kids did it. Here the girl is on top of her.<\/p>\n

And then settling down to lie beside her.<\/p>\n

While the boys lie snuggled up together a little bit away. Apparently the girl is a real mommy’s girl. I was told that on the first day (before I got there) Magnethe went outside for a little. While the kids were resting. And then the little girl woke up and all on her own she went outside the stable looking for Magnethe. Less than a day old, going outside all by herself. Amazing.<\/p>\n

Everybody loves the kids of course. <\/p>\n

This boy is the boy that I “rescued” when he was stuck on the ice.<\/p>\n

There he is bunching up hay to make a little sleeping place for the kids. <\/p>\n

\"magnethe's<\/a><\/p>\n

And the girl wonders what sort of strange thing I am.<\/p>\n

\"magnethe's<\/a><\/p>\n

Magnethe is doing well. It’s interesting to see her as a mother now. Before it happened I couldn’t even imagine it. Now it seems so natural. I don’t know if she has changed so much or if it’s just the way I see her. But she’s handling it so well. It’s amazing how nature just puts it all in your head, what you need to know and do. Nobody taught her how to handle her kids. It’s not like Mathilde stood at a blackboard and drew diagrams and said “when they yelp then you gotta shove them under you so they can drink”. No, she just figures it all out. And she is so beautiful.<\/p>\n

And sister. You can almost imagine her going “eeew the boy is kissing meee”. Although, of course he’s not. But it’s a cute caption anyway.<\/p>\n

She’s a cutie. <\/p>\n

Eep.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure if you can tell but in the above picture I have all three of them lying more or less in my lap. With Magnethe next to me.<\/p>\n

He’s so pretty. I think he’s the prettiest of them all. Maybe. But they’re all so pretty. It’s like being a judge in a Miss World competition, only without the horribleness.<\/p>\n

Bucketfulls of joy.<\/p>\n

Mads is not so thrilled. He is the most jealous goat I have ever met. Granted, I have only met (counts) 10 goats, I think. But still. He wants all the attention. There I am rescuing the little girl from a horned attack.<\/p>\n

And finally, just so they won’t feel left out, here are Mathilde’s bunch:<\/p>\n

They are growing so fast. You’ll see, next time I post pictures. I had a nice day in the sun with them all today. Like a whirlwind of wonders.<\/p>\n

I’m feeling good. I’m not sure if it’s the positive effect of all these cute goat kids or not. But I haven’t felt bad in a while. I’m hoping my new meds are working. That would be nice. <\/p>\n

And if not then I’ll just steal one of the goat kids and bring it home. They have six, they probably wouldn’t notice if one of them went missing. Right? It would almost fit in a drawer in my desk, it would.<\/p>\n
