Wow. I am tired. Still. That was a long and hard weekend. But very rewarding too. <\/p>\n
The concert went fine. Tina and the band were magnificent. A couple of new songs. A lot of old classics. It was a seated concert. At the last song (well, before the encores) everybody got up and there were thunderous applause. Granted I haven’t been to a huge amount of concerts, but that was by far the loudest and longest applause I have ever experienced. Beautiful moment. Another beautiful moment was the start of set 2. They lit a couple of candles and then the whole band gathered around them for “that campfire feeling”. That was neat. My favourite moment though, was when Tina talked about the special edition of her latest album. A music reviewer (Thomas Treo, your typical a*hole reviewer, who seems to reprint the same review everytime he reviews a Tina record or concert) had criticised her for releasing a special edition with new tracks. He said it “ruined christmas for her fans”. Hah! Well, anyway. Tina said that her brother had done extensive research on P2P and she encouraged everyone who had the album and just wanted the new tracks to go to “this place called Piratebay” and download them. How cool is that? Further proof that Tina is the bestest popstarsinger ever. Name one other established artist who would advertise for piratebay! Haha.<\/p>\n
My first thought was “uh oh, your record label isn’t going to like that”. My second thought was “wait a minute, she started her own record label. I think she’ll get away with it”. I still think KODA and APG (the Danish anti piracy group) would be rather pissed that she told her fans to go to AN EVIL ILLEGAL TORRENT SITE THAT KILLS BABIES AND EATS KITTENS. Of course I would personally never download anything from a site like that, it is undoubtedly run by Al-Qaeda terrorists and funded by Colombian drug lords. But Tina is my hero, yes she is.<\/p>\n
A great concert, all in all. Only one minor mishap. When an usher came and poked me on the shoulder and whispered “no photography allowed”. Whoops. I turned off my camera and hid it away. Too bad. I really like taking pictures at concerts. It’s a part of the experience for me. But okay. Fair’s fair. I wasn’t bothering anyone though. I had an aisle seat and I wasn’t using flash. But there you go. I still had a great time. Now I just need to recover.<\/p>\n
