“Are you going to take my peeeekture?”. Yes, Mads. Yes, I am.<\/p>\n

Howsabout now then?<\/p>\n

It may again look like I have Magnethe in a tight stranglehold, but I swear I don’t. If I tried to hold Vanilje or Mads like that then they’d soon start squirming and try to get away. Goats don’t like being restricted, I find. But Magnethe doesn’t mind when I hug her really tight like that. She stands still and takes it. I think she probably realizes that if she keeps old Plumey happy then the chances of treats increase exponentially. <\/p>\n

And if I don’t give her treats…<\/p>\n

…it’s head-butting time!<\/p>\n

And finally I have learnt my lesson and will not forget Vanilje.<\/p>\n

The teaching at work is going pretty well. The new guy, Poul Martin, is really nice. I am not a great connaisseur of people, but I can usually tell pretty quickly whether I’m comfortable around someone or not. And I feel comfortable around him. I don’t go in panic mode when he calls me over to help with the work. So that’s good. Nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n

The 19th is my last day. Tuesday. We are all going to eat together. That is tradition when someone stops. Then we all have cake or lunch or something. And the person who is stopping gets a present. A present for me! Wheee. Sanne knows I love animals, I’ll probably get something related to that. Or a book, I bring books to read too. When I was out for surgery they gave me that Poe collection. Maybe a book about animals, that would encompass the whole range of my interests. At least the interests they know about.<\/p>\n

I could get myself all worked up and nervous about being the center of attention for that lunch, but I won’t. It’ll be fine. They’re nice people. And once it’s done then I’m off for christmas vacation. And that will be bloody nice too.<\/p>\n

More importantly, I have discovered that I remember how to program C64 BASIC.<\/p>\n

That is just so totally awesome. Mmmm-emulator. I might just end up spending my entire vacation playing Commodore 64 games. Oh the memories. The sweet, tender memories of the innocence of youth.<\/p>\n

If I had a time machine I would travel back to the moment right before I sold my Commodore and then I’d slap myself and say “What, are you kidding me? Selling your soul for a few lousy bucks? Here’s a hint: don’t buy any of those Masters of the Universe dolls. Save that money and keep your C64. You’ll thank me later”. Then I’d have a long discussion about the welfare system and its effects on social economics. Because I would finally have found someone sensible to talk to, myself. <\/p>\n

It would probably end up like something out of a Calvin & Hobbes comic, though.<\/p>\n
