I have not been feeling well today. Tired and head hurting and just bleh. One of those days. One of those days where the first bus is early so you miss it. And the second bus is late so you have to wait even longer. Ain’t it just the way?

Luckily I have my little oasis.

The playground with its greenery and lambs in between the construction. Let me give you some advice: if you get the chance to hug a lamb, do it.

Is there anything softer than a woolly lamb? I think not.

That is 168’s boy. 168 is the number of the un-named mama sheep. The other is Fregne (Freckles) as you might remember. And just to sum it up, Freckles has a boy, 168 has two girls (Mini and Dotty) and then this here boy. He is big and brave. Whenever he gets the chance (meaning that the goats have stepped away from me for a moment) then he comes running to me to see if he can grab himself some attention and treats. He is fun and soft. And it’s almost impossible to comprehend that he is from the same batch as Mini.

That is Mini. Okay, from that angle you can’t appreciate how small she (still) is. But when you see those two together you’d never guess they are siblings. It’s adorable.

But let’s not forget the gruesome threesome.

Vanilje, with her head in the bushes. Those are the bushes lining the road. Normally the goats are on the other side of the field, where the slope is. But today they were in those bushes and they seemed to love them. Of course goats always love anything to eat.

Magnethe. Look at her ear! Haha. I took the picture while she was swirling her head around, as she often does. Don’t you just love those big, floppy goat ears flapping around?

And last but by no means least (and I mean that literally) there is Mads. It’s not a very good picture, but I hope you can tell how bashful he looks. He always does that when I rub his feet. Err hooves. I still do that. It’s the big thing. They all love it. Mads will move his head down like that, it looks like he’s all coy and shy. But he’s just enjoying it so much. And his tongue will start darting in and out when it gets really good. Vanilje does that a lot when I rub her hooves. That tongue is like a piston in and out and she moves her head about and you can just tell she loves it. And I swear, they beg for more. When I stop rubbing their hoof they will lift it up and start rubbing and poking me with it until I start again. Okay, they do that other times too. When I’m hiding food from them. Or when they want to lick or chew their own feet. Or Mads when he’s getting ready to lie down. But it’s different. I can tell they want more rubsies. I am the goat whisperer after all. It’s so sweet. And aren’t they lucky that they have a crazy goat boy who loves nothing more than to sit and rub their feet? I am a weirdo, but looking at the world in general I am happy with my brand of weirdness.

I am still however not feeling very good, so I will retire to my bed right about now. Meanwhile here is that clip I mentioned from Scrubs: http://youtube.com/watch?v=OXHNJhZlB0Q. Of Dr Cox’s self deprecation. I think it is my favourite Scrubs scene ever, maybe my favourite sitcom scene in general. Of course if you haven’t watched Scrubs and don’t Know Dr Cox then you might not appreciate the emotional resonance of the scene, but it’s good I swear. I am attracted to self-loathing. Probably because I have done so much of it myself. I’m trying to quit, though. Honestly. I am replacing the loathing with foot rubsies. They should put that in a self-help book, they should.

Tomorrow is a fishing trip at TMU. I am fairly certain I won’t go though. I am not feeling up to the emotional stress of a field trip. Plus I am not into fishing. The trip is voluntary so it’s not like I’m skipping school.

Okay that’s it bye bye.

.
Current music: The Smashing Pumpkins – Bleed (881005)
.

PS.
