Let me share with you a nice little surprise from the playground.<\/p>\n

Sille is pregnant.<\/p>\n

You can’t really tell from the picture. But she’s pregnant and due to give birth any day now. I only found our yesterday. See, today is a holiday in Denmark. The playground is closed. So I volunteered to feed the animals. And Pernille said “oh by the way, don’t be surprised if there’s a little, new foal tomorrow”. Hah. Well, there was no foal today. But soon. Very soon probably. It will be my first foal. I’m sure it will be very sweet and cute. I’m looking forward to it.<\/p>\n

I am generally feeling better. I slept well last night. For the first time in more than a week. I needed that. Really needed that. And I had a good time at the playground. Several families decided to take advantage of their day off to come and see the animals. When I got there I was greeted by Santana. I am pretty sure I have mentioned him before, perhaps not by name though. But he’s a sweet kid. He’s happy. A little mischievous sometimes, but not in a mean way. And he likes to help out with the animals. So I let him help me. And a little later on a couple of girls came and wanted to help as well. So I had lots of help today. Truth to be told I probably would have gotten the work done faster without their help, but it’s not a race of course. And it’s always sweet to see the kids with the animals. So it was fun.<\/p>\n

One of the geese got out of their pen. The door was closed okay, it must have learned to jump over the fence. It didn’t feel like coming back inside so I spent a little while chasing it around the playground. Quite a sight, I’m sure.<\/p>\n

And Vanilje as well. She was a bit agitated yesterday. She was baahing a whole lot. She’d see people and start baahing and baahing. And she even followed a couple of guys. They were up on the slope. She went all the way up there. And they started to leave and she kept following them. At that point I got up to go bring her back. But then of course Mads and Magnethe decided to follow. And pretty soon all three goats were walking down a pathway that goes behind the kindergarten and over to Aktiv Super, the supermarket where I do most of my shopping. I managed to stop them before they went into the supermarket though! I got help from one of the guys that Vanilje was following too. I started to drag Mads back and then he sort of prodded Vanilje and Magnethe in the same direction.<\/p>\n

I always feel bad when I have to pull Mads. Not that it happens often. Usually I can get the goats to move without the pulling. Good thing because a goat does NOT like to be pulled. You should see how he digged his heels in. And it makes me worry that I’m choking him with the chain. I got a little stressed what with all the goats almost running all the way to the supermarket and the parking lot and road and all. Didn’t mean to pull ya Mads, sorry boy.<\/p>\n

They got back on the grass okay, and were perfectly fine.<\/p>\n

It’s always eventful when the goats are around. Almost always. Fifteen minutes later I was sitting against a fence with my arm around Vanilje who was sitting to my right while Mads and Magnethe were sitting to my left. I guess we were all tired from all the ruckus. It was sweet to have them all sitting around me like that. Part of the gang.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow I have the sight test at the optician. Hopefully that will go ok. I know I need stronger glasses. Only a matter of money really. We’ll see.<\/p>\n
