Wow. I just watched the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Or as I like to call it “The 2007 MTV TRANSFORMERS PROMOTION SHOW”. Man, how much did the producers of Transformers have to pay for that kind of PR? They even had an award for “best summer movie you haven’t seen yet”. And surprise surprise, it went to Transformers! And you can’t even say it didn’t deserve it, cause it’s not out yet. So who knows. I liked the Transformers when I was a kid. I had a couple. I should get paid for saying TRANSFORMERS so much. <\/p>\n
The MTV Movie Awards: Bigger, Faster, Dumber. They bragged about there being no commercial breaks. Well duh. When you cram all the commercials into the show itself then who needs breaks?<\/p>\n
I am so old.<\/p>\n
Last night I had a little scare. Sort of. As I mentioned my mother was away for a wedding. I went to sleep rather late. Because of The Office. “Just one more episode.. just one more episode”. I tell ya Debster, you should find it with subtitles. It’s so good. It consistently makes me laugh out loud, not many sitcomedies do that. Anyway it was around 3am when I finally turned off the lights. At that point the birds were already up and singing the morning bells. So I put in my earplugs. I have slept with earplugs for the last 15-20 years. I’m trying to kick the habit, but not when the birds are chirping. After 10 minutes I suddenly hear something. Someone walking around in the house. I take the earplugs out and yup, definitely someone there. My first thought is: “burglars!”. In my life we have never been robbed or burglarized or thieved. So I am a little paranoid because statistics say it’s bound to happen. Anyway, my second thought is: “Wow those are some loud burglars. Wouldn’t they try to be as silent as possible?”. My third thought is: “I wonder if it would be possible to teach the goats to play cards?”. Actually I just made that up, although it’s an interesting thought to ponder. My real third thought was: “Ah, mother must have gotten back early”. And it was indeed my mother. Someone had given her a ride home so she didn’t have to stay overnight to wait for the busses.<\/p>\n
But what a dramatic story eh?<\/p>\n
I also go a little scare today. The phone called. It was my webhost. Yup. He called me up on a Sunday afternoon. That was unexpected. Apparently my hosting bill had not been paid. I would have preferred a letter or an email really, not being called up like that. But I have found a receipt for the payment, so hopefully it won’t be a problem. <\/p>\n
What else? Oh yes, I’m pondering a concert. The Tall Ship’s Races<\/a>. Thursday 5th of July. 22:30. It’s a bit late. But it’s free. And it’s D:A:D:<\/a>. Formerly Disneyland After Dark, before the lawsuit. Classic Danish rock. Bad Craziness<\/a>. They were fun in the 90s. Anyway, I think I’ll go. Probably. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a show. I think Damien Rice was in ?rhus, I would have loved to see him.
