It’s raining. And it has been raining all day. Some of yesterday as well. Perfect Danish summer weather.<\/p>\n
I have been feeling a little sick the last couple of days. Nothing horrible, though. Just some queasiness. I’ll be fine, fine.<\/p>\n
Tonight my dad is coming home from Greenland. And this time it’s not just for the vacation. He is back for good. He is retiring from his profession as a schoolteacher. He’s not quite old enough for retirement, but he shall be going on “efterl?n” which is some kind of early retirement thing I guess. So funnily enough we will both be retiring at the same time. Hah. Who would have ever guessed that.<\/p>\n
In many ways it will be nice to have him home. I just hope there will be peace in the house, not too much arguing. And then hopefully I will be moving out soon anyway.<\/p>\n
Speaking of which, I got mailbombed today. No less than 14 letters from Brabrand Boligforening. The housing organization thing. So I have been offered 14 places. That doesn’t mean I’ll get them though. The 25 highest placed on the waiting list get offered the place. Because usually a lot of people turn down the offers, for various reasons. I’m listed 6-7 on several of them. That should give me a really good chance. But I have to check them out first. Some of them seem a little too expensive and some of them too small. And I don’t know if they accept pets yet. And so on and so forth. I might end up turning them all down. But if some of them are acceptable then.. *crosses fingers*.<\/p>\n
It’s not in the best neighbourhood though. It’s one of the “socially challenged” places with lots of immigrants and low-status families. I am low status myself of course, what with the disability retirement. My mother commented that they “turned night into day and day into night there”. Meaning that there’s a lot of noise at night I guess. And I think it’s up there that there has been some clashes between second-gen immigrants and police too. So I don’t know. Maybe I should hold out and wait for something better to come along. I am keen to move out soon though. We’ll see when I have researched the offers a little.<\/p>\n
It was just kinda funny, my mother brought in the mail and she was sitting at the dinner table, counting out loud all the letters for me. I usually don’t get that<\/i> much mail. (Hint: mail address on the right, postcards accepted).<\/p>\n
I have a fun surprise coming up soon, hopefully. Might be a week or two. But I just wanted to tease you with it anyway. It’s something that I am willing to bet that none of you will see coming. Nothing nuclearly large, but fun I hope. Tickle tickle tease.<\/p>\n
