Which turned out to be a waste of time, since I needed to have an appointment to discuss the budget account and payservice stuff. But now I have an appointment for next Tuesday at least.

I also went to stock up on my new favourite icecreamies, the liquorice Super Flyers. But of course there were none left in the store. So the whole trip would have been one big waste of time. If it wasn’t for the goats. Visiting them is never a waste of time. And they don’t seem to hold a grudge against me even though I have been neglecting them a little in this whole appartment conquest. It was nice to sit down and clear my mind again. Empty out all the stress and worries. And just mellow out with my three favourite funsters.

Later on I went to Bazar Vest to look for Super Flyers. Bazar Vest is the big multi-cultural marketplace in the neighbourhood. I did not find any Super Flyers. But I did run into an old friend. Cafer. Most of you probably don’t even know him. Unless you’re old-old-skool. He’s all the way back from when I was working at the Barn. If any of you remember that. Around the time when I started getting back out into the workforce and so on. I was supposed to work in their computer room, but that didn’t really work out. Instead I ended up doing handyman duties and working with Cafer. The proud Turk. It was nice seeing him again. I had actually wondered if I’d run into him sometime, now that I’m living in this area. We stopped and talked a little bit. He was wearing sunglasses and a big smile. He’s a good guy. And he’s applying for early retirement too. For physical reasons mostly I think. I hope he’ll get it. He was a nice guy to work with back then. The Barn is right up next to Bazar Best, 5-10 minutes walk from my appartment. I have been thinking about going up there some time. See how the place is. I wonder if any of the old people are still working there. I know Peter Computerguy stopped at the same time I did. Then there were Karen and Anker. But they were both quite old, somehow I’d be surprised if they still work there. Especially Anker. He was frail and not doing that good around the time I left. I’d imagine Bent is still running the place, though. I’m sure he’d be happy to offer me a cuppa coffee and talk about old times. It’s a sort of community center thing, so dropping in isn’t a problem. Maybe I’ll try it sometime.

Anyway, that was quite a trip down memory lane. For reference: Anker and Cafer. Back in the day. That was right after the Barn was painted. Man, those walls are white!

Tomorrow I’m going back for dinner at the old house. I have to help my dad with some computer stuff, so my mum asked if I wanted to eat there as well. I haven’t actually cooked a hot meal at the new appartment yet. Only today have I gotten pots and pans unpacked. So I have been eating bread. And some cold chicken wings. And Super Flyers. Hah. But it’ll be nice to eat at home, mostly for the socializing. You know me, always grabbing any chance of social interaction!

That’s all for today. Getting late. Last night was nice and quiet. I slept with earplugs and didn’t hear a noise. Now I wonder if it’s because the earplugs worked so amazingly or if it was just a quiet night outside. Who knows. I didn’t hear anything when I got up to use the bathroom though, so I think it was a combination of the two factors. To sleep nice is good, and to sleep good is nice.

Don’t let the bedbugsbite.

So today I went to the bank.
