And how did it go?

It went very well, thank you.

It’s kinda funny. I was so nervous. Thirty minutes before he was due to arrive I sat down in my comfy chair and put on the latest Stargate Atlantis episode to watch it while I waited. Ten minutes later I had to shut it off. I was so nervous that I couldn’t focus on it. My heart beating a mile a minute. The phobia attacking. Then he showed up. It took like 10 minutes, it was over before it got started and it was almost pleasant. I was half expecting some old, surly janitor type with a half-chewed cigar in his mouth. But no, he was young and smiling and friendly. He complimented my widescreen monitor! Haha. Just like Trine and Mojtaba did at the first visitation meeting. Everybody loves my monitor. Anyway, we went over the list of grievances in no time. Half of the things he didn’t even look at. He just noted down “UB” next to it all. “Uden Betydning” which translates roughly to “doesn’t matter”. In other words, just as I’d hoped. All the stuff noted down but no bother in fixing anything. Perfect. He even praised me. Or, he praised the list. But I made the list so I deserve the praise! He said that most people didn’t bother to fill out such an extensive list (there were 18 spots on the list and I filled out all 18). And then when they were going to move out, if there was some flaw or problem they’d say “but it was like that when I moved in” but they wouldn’t have a list to prove it. He said he wished more people would fill in the lists properly. I was all happy with my excellent list skills. Hehe.

Even did a little small talk. About how I liked living here. And about how he was happy to have it done so quickly because he didn’t have anything else scheduled today. So he was done for the day.

Yups. I’m really happy to have it done now. And happy that it went so well. No reason to be scared. One day I will learn not to worry so much.

It’s always nice when these things go so well. The things that are hard for me. It makes me think that I am not useless, worthless, someone to be shunned and outcast from society. I can do these things, I can handle life more or less. I am not hopeless.

Good stuff. Now I can start worrying about doing the laundry on Saturday. No, wait. There was something I was supposed to remember… Oh yes, I got it! DON’T worry. That’s it.

In other news, I have started reading Tolkien’s Unfinished Tales. I grabbed it at the library a while ago. I wasn’t sure I felt like getting in to it. It’s a whopper full of Elven names and Turin son of Hurin son of Bitcah etc. But last night I gave it a whirl and much to my pleasure I found myself enjoying it. That’s good. I call myself a nerd, I really have to read Tolkien otherwise I lose all credibility.

When not reading I like to watch Scrubs. I am trying to watch season 5 and 6 in as short a period of time as possible. I love that show. I love their sense of humour. And their sentimentality and feelings. Aw. Maybe it’s manipulative, but they get me right in the heart. Again and again. I especially liked their 100th episode. Which was all Wizard of Oz themed. Good thing I recently finally watched the Wizard of Oz, otherwise I would have missed all the references. Brilliant was Ted’s band’s version of Over The Rainbow. I love Ted’s band. I think I have linked to that before, but who cares. Ted’s band rules! Acapella delights.

It makes me cry. I’m such a wuss. I get very attached to fictional tv characters. Mainly because I have been lonely for so long. It’s not like I’m crazy, I don’t think they’re real or anything. It’s just… it’s better to have makebelieve friends than to have none.

For more lovely Scrubs videoity dbfinch is your youtube master. Including the scene I requested. My favourite Cox self-loathing moment. I identify a lot with self-loathing. What with the whole being lonely all my life thing and all. I know I seem like the awfully cheery type who would talk your ear off at parties, but between you and me: I sometimes have low self esteem and troubel finding worth in myself.

When not reading or watching I like to listen to Radiohead’s new album, In Rainbows. Awesomeness. Released without a label. Wonderful. I seriously think the world would be better if all record labels and movie labels and big software houses all went bankrupt. Sure we’d be in for a rough period, entertainment-wise. But from the ashes would rise new companies that understood how to embrace new technologies like filesharing and appreciate their fans instead of the current fatcats that sue grandmothers and employ terrorist tactics and DRM-satanism. Power to the people, not the labels. Anyway. In Rainbows, not in stores now. If you like Radiohead then I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Otherwise the main thing on my mind is the kitten choice. But nothing new about that really. It is still up in the air. I am pondering. I am seeing all sides. Thank you all for the comments so far, they do help. And you’ll be the first to know when I choose.

PS. What do you get if you combine kittens and Scrubs? Youtube for the win. Geez, that almost looks like Luna. Or maybe I’m just seeing things.

PPS. See? How can this not make you cry? What are you people, made of stone?!

PPPS. No more Scrubs youtube links for the next 3 months, I swear.

So today the super came by to go over the list of grievances. And how did it go?
