Well, I finally caved. Yesterday I turned on the heat in my appartment for the very first time. I guess I just got tired of freezing all the time. The last week or so I have constantly had to put on sweaters and woolly socks and sit in my comfy chair under heavy blankets. Those things are nice, but it’s also nice to be able to sit at the computer in a t-shirt and not feel crappy. Heating bill be damned.<\/p>\n

I turned it off again when I went to bed. I need to have the windows open when I sleep. I can’t sleep in warm, stale air. Fresh and cold, that’s how I like it. <\/p>\n

Yesterday I went to the old house to help my dad with some stuff. I was sitting on the floor, changing the ink cartridge in the printer, when I heard him say “I still have a goat on my screen”. Heh. When they got my old computer my dad wanted his own user account on XP. And I put a picture of Vanilje as the desktop. This one<\/a> in fact. And it was still on there. I said to him that he could just change it to something else if he wanted but then he said “no no, I do’nt want it changed. I like it actually”. So that was nice to hear. He complimented my pictures in general and started talking how I should try to sell them. He’s talked about that before. But I’m realistic enough to know that there probably isn’t a big market for 1426 near identical pictures of Mads, Magnethe and Vanilje. Imagine how their egos would swell (even more) if they knew they were models too. I’d never hear the end of it.<\/p>\n

We even talked a little about the goats, my dad and I. That was nice. Much better than the time he called Magnethe a llama!<\/p>\n

One of my favourite things, a sort of drive-by-scratching. A goat will be walking by and I’ll stick my hand out and start scratching its back. It will stop and slowly turn its head around like Magnethe there. To see who is doing that wonderful scratching, I’m sure. I love when they turn their head back like that and look at you.<\/p>\n

Those wonderful beings, they make me happy.<\/p>\n

In other news, the Danish prime minister has called for election<\/a>. November 13th. I saw a bit on the news about how the campaign offices were going into action. It depresses me somewhat. It’s nowhere near as bad as the American campaigns, but still. Deciding our future by who can put up the most posters and pass out the most lollipops. Oh well. What is even more depressing is that the government will probably be re-elected. Nevermind the lies, the wars, the destruction of the welfare, the nazi party bedfellows.. Give out some tax cuts and you’ll be fine. When Bush could get re-elected I’m sure Fogh can too. People are idiots. No offence. Well, not much. Politics make me sick. Everybody is corrupt on some level. Even the “good guys”. I’m sure if my side had been the one evil one then I would have made excuses for them too. Good thing that my side are the good guys! Yup.<\/p>\n
