When I said “funny\/surprising” I actually meant more like “mildly amusing\/not expected”. I didn’t mean to embellish. Anyways. The funniest thing that happened while I was feeding the animals yesterday was the great flight of Mads the goat.<\/p>\n

I was filling food in buckets when I heard the goats baahing loudly. I figured they were just anxious to get their food, but when I got out of the fodder house I saw why especially Vanilje and Magnethe were baahing. It was because Mads had escaped!<\/p>\n

\"mads\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Oh Mads, you silly goat. He’s still in his own booth to keep him separated from the buck. And I guess someone hadn’t closed the door properly. Or perhaps I had knocked it open by accident when I greeted the goats, as seen in yesterday’s video. In any case, Mads saw his chance to go outside. Maybe looking for me, or more likely looking for the food.<\/p>\n

He seemed a bit wary with the situation though. It’s a long, long time since they’ve been allowed to walk around freely out front. And of course he was all alone, with the rest of the gang locked up inside. So he stood there and looked back and forth while I laughed and grabbed at my camera. It looked like he was pondering his choices… “Hmm, do I make a run for it and head for the border and escape to Mexico… or do I go up to Plume, who is carrying several buckets of goat food…”. A hard decision, I’m sure you’ll agree.<\/p>\n

In the end he followed me back into the goat house and into his own booth and he seemed quite content as I filled his personal bucket. What does Mexico have to offer better than ones private bucket of food anyway?<\/p>\n

And there is proof that I got him back inside. Peeking up just as the flash goes off.<\/p>\n

But that was kinda fun. I wish the goats could just walk around freely all the time. If I were in charge I’d set them free. Of course I’d have to find a way to keep them from running up in the residential blocks. And to Mexico, not forgetting.<\/p>\n

Almost looks like Vanilje is trying to escape too.<\/p>\n

She could only manage to get one hoof up there, though.<\/p>\n

The second surprise of the day was Bodil and her dog Lulu dropping by. They were going to the park, to enjoy the lovely weather. Nice seeing them, as always. Talked for a while with Bodil. About the christmas party, amongst other things. She has been invited this year as well, so we’re looking forward to that.<\/p>\n

And Lulu, the cute little raggamuffin. Bodil always makes sure to tell me that Lulu doesn’t just take to everybody. But she has taken to me. I bent down and scratched her chin for a while. Then I got back up to talk to Bodil, and Lulu proceeded to jump up my leg to get my attention. She’s a small dog, she barely reached higher than my knee. But what a lot of fun she is.<\/p>\n

And I capped off the hard work-day with a little Nina-time. Because there’s always time for a little Nina.<\/p>\n
