Feeding the animals. It’s been a few weeks since I last did it, because of the wedding day and all. Nice to be back on the job. Although the weather wasn’t too good. Grey, cold and very windy. With intermittent rain showers. But still, it’s just nice to walk around slowly and be appreciated by all the animals. No one is more loved than the guy who brings the food. Doesn’t matter if it’s the goats or the chickens or the bunnies or the pig or the horses or the cats or the geese or what. They all get terribly excited when the guy with the food shows up.

And at least the weather was better than yesterday. It rained a lot yesterday. I paid a social visit to the goats and was not surprised to find them inside. Instead of dragging them out and sitting in the rain I went and got a stool and sat down inside with them. It’s a bit cramped inside, not really enough room for four adult goats and one (more or less) adult Plume. But it’s fun too, it’s sort of like playing musical chairs. Except there’s only one chair and I keep sitting on it. While the goats run around and fight for positions around me.

Mads is always close though, no matter how the positions shift he always stays right next to me.

Magnethe. With one foot in the bucket, instead of the usual two.

And Vanilje with a permanent smile on her face.

Then as I left, I encountered a rather funny scene:

Can you tell what’s going on? It’s Gertrude, the big piggy. And she’s getting scratched with a broom! Haha. It looked quite funny, as she rolled around and enjoyed it greatly. Being rubbed all over with the broom. Good times.

What else has happened? I met a woman from TMU. Remember the woman I helped with the bus schedule and I also met her on the street once were she was practically crying because of things with her doctor and case? I met her yesterday, while I did shopping. She lives in the ‘hood, here. When I told her I had moved here she was all happy and excited. She’s a sweet women. She was in a hurry though, had to go. Maybe we’ll bump into each other again some time.

Also I have been in weird moods. Because of the Facebook thing. Finding old classmates. They all look so grown up. One (at least) married. It’s strange. It’s like there is a big hole in my life, a big black hole where I got stuck. But everyone else moved on and filled up their lives with new people and experiences. I remember them like it was yesterday, like nothing has happened since we were carefree kids in the classroom together. But they have all had a lifetime since then. I’m very curious about what has happened to all of them, but at the same time ashamed of what has happened to me, I guess.

But oh well. It’s still nice to see some of them again, even from afar.

Hey, I just remembered something funny from the day my parents got married. Remember how the bus never came and we had to run back home and call a taxi? Well, the taxi had one of those navigation computer thingies with voice instructions. As we were driving out of the parking lot it said “turn right” even though turning right would take us into a closed road in the complex. So we all had a good laugh and the driver turned left. And then for the next 10 minutes as we were driving downtown the computer kept saying “make a U turn. Make a U turn”. It wanted us to turn around and drive in the wrong direction. Hah. Then finally the driver muted it. I thought it was kind of funny though. Like someone was trying to prevent the marriage by first keeping the bus away and then making the navigation computer try to get us to go in the wrong direction. The appliances have gone berserk.

Alritey then. Tomorrow I’ll be having dinner with the parents. Soup, oh boy. And on Wednesday Lost is back on the telly. I cannot hardly believe it is so. Oh and I’ll be going to the Tina Dickow concert soonish. I forget the date. But it’s the beginning of February. So it must be soon. I haven’t been to a concert in ages. Should be good.

The future is bright, if you look on the bright side at least.

Today was a work day. Feeding the animals.
