The kids are almost a month old now, if I’m counting correctly. And still a joy. They have started baahing sometimes when they see people in the distance. Also when I open up the goat house. The big heavy chain makes a lot of noise. And inside I’ll hear Vanilje and Magnethe baah loudly. And then small squeaks from the kids. Eversosweet.

I fed the animals yesterday because the playground was closed for a meeting. And today because it’s Saturday. Was good times. Yesterday I also went downtown to the Komics store. This time it was not closed. So I bought myself the Don Rosa Hall Of Fame number 6. Man, it’s going to be costly. I think at least 11 volumes are planned, maybe even more. But at least they only release 2-3 a year. As far as I know. All my money will be tied up in comics.

Better than them being burglarized I guess. Speaking of the break-in at my parents’ place, it seems the torchlight wasn’t stolen. It was moved. I guess the people who broke in took it from the shelf in the living room and left it in the bedroom. So apparently nothing is missing at all. Apart from perhaps some small change. My dad has a hidden stash of coinage. And he swears there’s a little missing. But he isn’t sure. And as stated, they haven’t touched the TV or DVD or computer. Or the 3000 kr my mother had in a drawer for some vacation stuff. Nothing. It’s odd. My theory was that they’d been interrupted before they could take anything. But now we’ve found out that another home in the area was also broken into during the same time. And nothing was missing there either. So maybe it really was just some local kids looking for a thrill, not looking to steal anything. I guess we’ll never really know, and all you can do is be thankful that it wasn’t worse.

It’s still not a nice feeling though. Even though I don’t live there anymore I still feel a little… invaded? The thought that someone has been walking around in there. In our house. And you can’t help but wonder why they were there. Did they know my parents were gone? Were they watching them? Are they planning to come back? All those kinds of thoughts.

Oh well. No use pondering.

Tomorrow is my dad’s birthday, so I’ll be going home for a nice dinner and such. Will be a treat, I’m sure.

I wonder if they’ll be serving human finger? It’s a visiting bunny. It has learnt to jump over the walls. Which made Alice go “Oh no, not another one!”. Those crafty bunnies, always ready to escape. A real flight risk.

Exit Plume stage left.

Let’s see, where was I? Oh yes, goat kids.
