That is Nina’s new MO. Previously she used to meet me at the front door. Often rolling around on her her back until I got the door unlocked and she’d go inside with me. But now she usually shows up at the back door and meows until I let her in.

She was quite sneaky today. I always let her stay inside while I feed the animals. Today it started raining just as I came back to let her outside. I picked her up and carried her out and sat her down. Then I turned around to walk back inside. And swoosh came the kitty darting inside. She didn’t appreciate being put out in the rain. I had to insist though, as always. She’d set off the alarm if I let her stay in. She’s got a private entrance to the bunny house, though, so she doesn’t suffer.

Vanilje and Magnethe eagerly awaiting their dindins.

And the sheep. The black on sitting down. The white one coming up to check me out. You can tell she’s the confident one. When I put down the bucket with the food she pushed the black one away. Not roughly like Magnethe does to Vanilje. But just a gentle prod that clearly stated “I got dibs on this”. I brought another bucket so they could have one each. They seemed happy with that. Not like the goats who always push each other around no matter how many buckets they have.

It’d be funny if people acted like that in restaurants. We should make a sketch out of that.

Here is a nice evening:

Walking home from dinner with the parents on Friday. Setting sun somewhere to the east. Or wherever the sun sets.

Also, it is now hazel season. The nuts have started falling. And I’m not talking about the US election either. Hazelnuts, the goats just love them. And I just love the sound of them being crushed and crunched. youtube.com/watch?v=aXoDFxJP76I. Magnethe doing her part.

That’s all for now. On Wednesday I have the vent people coming over to check the vents. Between 8 am and 4 pm. So that’s nice and specific. Hopefully they’ll come soon and be done quickly.

There were no lambs waiting for me when feeding the animals yesterday.
