So remember that fire in the kindergarten in my neighbourhood? And remember how I was all like “oh I hope there isn’t a kindergarten serial burner going around”? Well last night we had our third kindergarten\/daycare fire in what, two weeks? Oh boy.<\/p>\n
It’s not a serial arsonist, though. Apparently. Because the people behind fire #2 were caught. Four kids ages 12-14. What’s the world coming to? Anyway, they were responsible for that one but not the others. So it’s not just one guy.<\/p>\n
But still not alotta fun when the apartment next door to me is a kindergarten. Still, I imagine they (whoever they are) wouldn’t go after a building with people inside. I don’t think they are killer arsonists. I just think they are vandal kids, and kindergartens in seperate buildings are easy targets and empty at night.<\/p>\n
This last fire was luckily caught before it got too bad. They had broken in through a window and made a bonfire in a wastepaper basket. But a security guy responding to the breakin was able to put it out before it spread. So when the firefighters came they only had to flush out all the smoke. And the kindergarten was operational again today.<\/p>\n
