Twas a cold morning. Frost on the lawn and leaves. That’s the first frost I have seen this winter.<\/p>\n
Oh wait, it’s not even winter yet. Oh well. Oh cold.<\/p>\n
Fed the animals today. Cold, cold hands. Water and buckets and sliding doors with metal handles. Cold, cold hands. The sun started coming out as I was getting done, though. Warmed me up a bit. Other than the cold everything was fine. Lots of sweet animals. I will post some pictures tomorrow. Too tired to get them done now.<\/p>\n
Hey, there’s less than a week till the Greenland trip. It’s almost time to panic now. Almost. You know, when I figured I was going blind and all there was a part of me that thought “well if I’m going to get emergency laser surgery then maybe I won’t have to go on the Greenland trip”. Always look on the bright side.<\/p>\n
There have been no drastic changes to my eyesight so far. I’m not blind yet. I am even sort of getting used to the floater in my eye. It’s not so annoying anymore. At least I don’t feel like clawing my eyes out. So that’s a plus. I could learn to live with the floater. Sometimes I make it dance in tune to the music I’m listening to.<\/p>\n
I have made a shopping date with my dad. He’s going to come downtown and meet me when my appointment at the eye doc is done. Then we’ll go buy boots. He took a look at my old boots and proclaimed that nope, they would not cut it in Greenland. I don’t know if you have heard, but it’s cold in Greenland. So I’m going to buy new ones. And they’re going to cost me a thousand (Danish) bucks. That’s a lot to spend on footwear. Much, much more than I would usually spend. But I am assured that not only will my feet be nice and warm in Greenland but the boots will last me a lifetime back here in Denmark too. So I guess it’s worth it in the end.<\/p>\n
I also need a hat. As much as I love the cap Debster got me, it won’t keep my ears warm I’m afraid. So a warm hat. Maybe some new gloves too. The ones I have now aren’t very handy. The fingers are too long. It makes it hard to operate a camera while wearing them. I hope I can find something that better fits my stubby little chopsticks.<\/p>\n
