I am too tired to type out the long account of the last week’s event. But how goes it today? It goes okay. Still feeling basically fine. My blood sugar levels are decent. When I called in this morning to report them to the hospital the nurse said it was looking really good. So that’s swell. <\/p>\n
I have started coughing though. And feeling a slight niggle in my throat. I really hope I’m not coming down with something. I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow morning and I’m afraid that if I’m sick they’ll want to keep me in for observation. I really do not want to spend any more nights in the hospital. I hate it.<\/p>\n
They were talking about giving me an insulin overdose so I could feel what it’s like to have too low blood sugar. The sadists! Well I’m sure there’s a good reason for it and they don’t just want to do it because they want me to feel bad. Anyway, I’m reporting back in at 7.30 tomorrow morning. I’m going to see the dietician at 11, that’s in the same building as the diabetes ward. Hopefully they’ll let me go home later on in the day. We’ll see how it goes.
