We had the season’s first snow yesterday. As I headed out to the playground’s christmas party it lay everso slightly on the ground. Not a lot. Not a lot by far. But still nice.<\/p>\n
So how did the party go? It went okay… while I was there. I didn’t stay for the eating. I was there for a couple of hours almost, though, and did some socializing, but when the food was served I decided to bid my farewells. For various reasons. The biggest one was probably that Bodil wasn’t there. She had migraine. She was going to try to make it, but she didn’t. And while everyone else was really nice and friendly, she is the one I feel most comfortable and safe with. So that was a blow.<\/p>\n
Nina wasn’t there either. Out hunting mice I suppose.<\/p>\n
And then there was a party game. We each picked a note that told us something we had to do during the evening. Then at tne end everyone should try to guess what each person was doing. My note said that I should say “sk?l” every 20 minutes. Sk?l is the word we use when we make a toast. Anyway, the thought of having to make toasts all night and then the guessing later, it made me feel nervous.<\/p>\n
And then there was the thought of all the fatty food. And the onion smell in the air.<\/p>\n
So it was a bit too much for me in the end. But at least I showed up and did a little talking and all that. I explained about the diabetes before I left so I hope they don’t think I was being too rude. But what are ya gonna do? I am mostly sad that I didn’t get to see Bodil, because it’s been so long. But hopefully I’ll run into her soon.<\/p>\n
Also, if you can keep a secret, I think I have a little crush on Sigrid. She works part time at the playground. She is real sweet and cute. I wonder if she’s into guys who never, ever talk to her? That’d be a lucky break for me. She is the girl who sat down with me when Mads died, right after it was done. I sat down outside the goat house and was practically in tears. She sat down next to me and comforted me a bit. A real nice girl. <\/p>\n
Yeah, yeah. yeah. It would be nice if I was not destined to live out the rest of my life in complete solitude. But what you gonna do.<\/p>\n
