Good goat times today. Pleasant weather, for a change. Upwards of 7C/44F which is still cold for me, but it’s a heck of d ifference from freezing temperatures and cold wind and sleet and rain. A few drops today, but some sunshine too. Quite nice for the season. And the goats are good for any season.
I did have some mishaps. First my camera dropped in the mud. It was fine, but the lens cap fell off and I had to spend 10 minutes digging through dark mud for a black lens cap. At least I found it. Then I gave out some treats and Milo managed to pull the treatbag out of my pocket, so I had to try and save what I could before everything disappeared into hungry hungry goat mouths. Sheesh, little bandit. other than that it was a good time. Snuggles and treats and cuddles and bleats. And walking home like a mud golem.

Yesterday/last night I had one of my long dreamwalks. About 20ish hours in bed. It’s been a while since I walked so far so long. I love just drifting in and out of dreams. Warm under the wellness covers while the world is cold and dark. I was Han Solo in a new Star Wars movie. And I was flying. For a long time I flew around the world, defying gravity. It’s nice to have the freedom to just sometimes tear a day our of the calendar and just sleep it away. I know most people don’t have the luxury. And I know it’s not particularly healhy. But in my defense, oh look over there a three-headed monkey

Good goat times today. A sunny day! Sunnier than it’s been in a long while. Still fairly cold. But it was nice to see the sun.
And maybe it was the sun that got the goats all heated up. They were in rare form. The ladies must have been in heat. There was a whole lot of snorting and huffing. Little Lily is usually the worst and she was blubbering along like a buck almost. It cracks me up. And Sassy was humping Lily and they were sniffing Mia’s rear, it almost looked like they were trying to go to the milk bar. And Mia did her cute little whinny whine that she does when she’s definitely not happy with the attention she’ receiving. And Sky was screaming. Screaming. SCREAMING. Haha. Oh boy. It might be the loudest I’ve ever heard her. On and off all day. Screaming her lungs out. Poor girl needs a boyfriend. But there are no elligible goat bachelors around. Nuller was partaking a little in the huffing and sniffing. Milo seemed to be the only one who wasn’t affected at all. He kept a safe distance. ‘You guys do you, I’m just gonna stay over here and not get in your way’. Lots of silly fun.
It was nice to see a bit of blue sky again. Looks like the temperatures will be dropping now and we’ll get frosty again. I’m glad I got out and enjoyed it today.
And my neighbours will think I’m murdering goats in my apartment when I start editing the footaga from today…

Managed to peel carrots today without going into a hysterical shock, so I guess Im not traumatized by my experience yesterday. My thumb still hurts, but it’s no the end of the world. I have had to cancel my plans to hitchhike around the world and visit all my facebook friends during the holidays. It’s simply not possible to hitchhike with this bloody stump of a thumb, I’ll scare the cars away! Maybe next year.
Anyway, time for vegetables yum.
Oh yeah I suppose I might as well do the health update too. I was supposed to see my doc this week to talk about the results of the xrays and lung test, but I kinda.. didn’t. I decided to go see the goats instead. All my test results have been great, I’m feeling almost normal. Maybe still a little more exhaused than normal when being very active, but I’m almost back to normal. I am pretty sure when I talk to my doc the result will be that we agree I had some kind of mild pneumonia possibly corona related maybe not and now I just gotta get back in better shape. I doubt they’ll want to do anything about the bit of lung tissue that was collapsed. I just gotta get back to normal life. I’m feeling fine enough for that. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing else left to do. I’ll try to see if I can see the doc before christmas, but the way her appointment system works is a bit weird and I don’t think I’ll be able to see her before the holidays. But like I said, I’m pretty sure it can wait till after the holidays just fine, there’s not much difference at this point.
Oh and my frostbite finger is good. The black spot is gone. There’s some hard skin where the black spot was, but other than that it’s normal.
So here we are. who’s got one thumb and will probably survive christmas and new years? This guy.

Good lung function test times today. The nurse was very nice and friendly and disarming. She was laughing at it all and explaining it. And then I blew. I blew so hard.
And the result?
I aced another test. I was 2% off the norm. And my second go, after getting some medication, was the same. So that means I don’t have the ashtma, presumably. I am not sure if the fact that my lung function tested pretty much normal means that the little area of lung tissue that the xrays showed had collapsed are not important. I guess it’s not affecting my lung function? Well I’ll go in and talk to the doc about it next week. But I’m not sure there’s anything else they’ll want to do now. Since I’m passing all the tests. Still seems to me that hte likely answer is I had some kind of mild pneumonia or corona and now I just gotta work my way back to normal. I still feel like I get more out of breath than normal when I do stuff, but it’s not too bad anymore really. Hopefully gradually increasing my exercise bike will get me in better shape and that’ll be enough. We’ll see what the doc says. It’s been a weird couple of months. Thanks all for listening and caring.
Now, I’m going to put another pot of soup on the stove and I’m going to burn my mouth with it while watching the Soup episode of Seinfeld. The universe aligned and I got to that episode right as I got the soup. Good timing.

That’st he last of the soup gone. It’s always a dilemma with the leftover soup. Should I take smaller servings and make it last longer, or just big potfuls so it’s gone quicker.
Can you guess what I do?
Yeah, I have no impulse control or restraint. I fill up a whole pot that could feed a whole family and just eat it by myself. And tha’s how you go through all that soup in three days. Still, no regrets. Burnt mouth and bloated belly. That’s whow I roll. Live in the moment. And then cry when the soup’s gone.

I had a really cool dream, it was a long and involved Lost-like scifi adventure thing. I don’t really remember much of it now, but I remember that I met and got to salute major Garland Briggs. From Twin Peaks. Either it was him or it was the actor who played him, Don S. Davis. I’m not sure if I met the actor or the character. I just remember that I was so honored that I got to give him a salute. I guess that makes it more likely that it was the character I met, saluting a major would make more sense than saluting an actor. Although I would have totally saluted Don S. Davis if i’d met him when he was alive.

Good goat time today. Got out and goated, good. The weather wasn’t the best. Cold and windy and it rained on and off all the time. My new jacket is warm and snuggly, but I discovered today that it is not wind resistant. Felt like the cold wind went right though it. Even with a blouse and shirt underneath, it was still too cold when I was out in the wind. I guess it’s time to permanently switch to my winter coat soon.
But it was good when I was out of the wind. Lots of time in the goat house and the shelter. Snuggles and treats. Lapgoat time with Sky, while Milo ran interference to make sure I didn’t record any good video. He’s lucky it was too cold to take my jacket off or I’d have spooked him away with it! Rascals. But it’s always the best time when I’m there. Now I just need spring to come.

Twice in the last few days, once at the doctor’s office and once in the supermarket, I have walked right into some furniture or shelf. It’s fun when your social phobia gets you in such a panic state that you forget you’re almost blind and have to look where you’re walking.
