Good goat times today. A cold morning, with a little rain. Not the best weather to goat in. Muddy, naturally. We did get a little spell of sunshine later on, so that was something. But this was the first time since last winter that I did not spend any time without a jacket on. Sigh.
But good goats, thankfully. Spent some sweet time in the shelter with Mia, Milo and Sky. The little sitting in the hay and chewing their cud. Mia standing next to me, leaning her head against my chest. I love that closeness.
Nuller was bleating a bit differently today. Usually he’s loud and bratty and sometimes practically unhinged. But today a lot of his bleats were little soft ones, almost like whimpers. Not like there was something wrong with him, it just sounded like a little sad baby. Manipulating me for extra treats. There were loud machines working again too, on the other side of the pen this time. That and the mud made for slightly bothered goats. At least that’s what they said when they asked for extra treats. I guess it’s extra treats for everyone then.

Does anyone else have a lockbox inside them? Not a physical one of course, a mental one. A place you store stuff that’s too painful to think about? I posted a baby picture of Palle on the page yesterday, and someone asked what happened to him. Normally thinking of Palle makes me happy. Enough time has passed that I can remember the joy. But there are some things I just can’t think about without breaking down. And I lock them away in a box and try to keep my distance from them. It’s mostly the deaths of goats really. And a few other things. But I can feel when I approach it. Whne my line of thought starts heading in that direction. Finding Palle.. finding Kamel… Mio collapsing on me.. even just writing this. I have to back off or I’ll fall apart. I just can’t. Can’t let myself.
I know I should confront the feelings and process the memories and face the fears and all that. But I can’t. I’m just going to keep stuffing stuff into that box until it explodes some day. Dynomite.
I wish I could make everything okay for everyone always and no one had to suffer and there was no pain and everything was perfect nonstop. Which would also probably be super healthy. Sigh. Anyway. Life is what happens while you’r busy trying to avoid it, I guess.

Wow.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s kind of amusing seeing Trump lose court case after court case while reeking of desperation on twitter.
But it’s also sad. Putting Rudy in charge of things means he knows he’s not going to win, he’s not even going to really try. He’s just going to keep this going until he’s dragged out of the White House. So he’ll be able to go on his town hall tour and tell everyone that he didn’t lose the election and that it was a coup and he’ll have the whole crowd chanting LOCK THEM UP.
It’s depressing that the Republican party doesn’t have the spine to stand up to him and tell him it’s over. But I guess it’s hard when you have to appease your base, the kind of white militia folks who wanted to have weekly televised executions of public officials in Michigan. Yeah, great people on all sides.

Fucking nuts. I think Biden is currently up almost 6 million in the official count. So a landslide the other way.. That would mean there has been what, 10 million illegal votes? Good goat times today. Cold morning, though. The coldest yet I think. Only barely above freezing. Lots of sun, but it barely helped. I miss springtime..
But the goating is good. I gave Sky some special attention today. To make up for her low standing in th hierarchy. I know it’s just normal for goats, but it’s still sad to see her have to run away from the others so much. So I took her out of the pen and spent some quality time with her. Her, me and three juicy oears. Yum! She enjoyed those a lot. And the peanuts for dessert. I pays off to be the undergoat. Win the hearts of the humans and you’ll get the extra goodies.
Sassy is definitely not the undergoat. She was being a sassy little beotch today. Haha. Chasing the other littles around. Even Lily, her presumed daughter, got a few headbutss in the side. I love the undergoats, but I do also love the bossy goats who think they are the unimpeachable god-emperors of the universe. The ego of a goat is about the size of a funny metaphor that I can’t think of right now.
Good thing there are enough treats for all.

Speaking of ‘losing without protesting’.
First of all, it sure sounds like you’re protesting a lot.
Second, I would argue that Trump going to the courts is very much protesting. I’d also argue that it’s looting, but we’ll see who ends up paying the bills.
I am sure if antifa and black lives matter and those kinds of groups and people in general, if they had the means and opportunity to solve their grievances fairly through a court system that they owned, they’d probably want to do that too.
Honestly, if you can’t see the difference between fairly and squarely losing an election and the things that the protesters are facing then well I think that says a lot about your white privilege.
I almost said white pride, mwaha.
But yeah. You’re not out in the streets protesting. You’re just fortifying yourselves in your homesteads with your guns and a pack of sandwiches while your rich daddy is trying to solve your problem in court. Not everyone is so fortunate.

Good goat times today. Good to get back to what matters. Goating. Where the only political argument is “Why are you giving other goats treats, give ME all the treats”. You might can guess whomst the quothed.
Mostly grey day, but at least it stayed dry and the mud was a little less out of control than it has been recently.
I took the fallen goat tower and tried to see if it could be a bridge through mud. but it didn’t really work, so I moved it over to the log pile and put it there as something to climb on. And it was soon climbed on, so that’s good. I always anjoy puting sometihng new down and seeing hte goats immediately climb it. Can’t keep a good goat down, on the ground.
Also can’t keep Nuller off my back. He managed to jump up there again. Darn kid. You’re lucky you’re so cute or I’d send tou off to Siberia.

Here is the fallen tower, no one the log pile. It doesn’t look so big when it’s lying down. Sassy was the first one to climb up on t. I wish we had more of these logs. They’re really good to climb around on and the goats love picking all the rough bark from them. I remember at the old playground we had a bunch of logs and I remember I built them up like almost a staircase going up and back down again. And there were the logs stacked up against the red playhouse that let the goats climb up on the roof. Logs are great. The log lady was on to something.

Good goat times today. Another grey day. The goats were a little subdued I think. We all miss the sun. I wish it was spring. But it’s still lovely to just sit around and do nothing. When the company is good.
We had some nice visitors too. A kid who said eeeew when the goats pooped at her. I guess she didn’t appreciate the poop powers being activated haha.
And later on a sweet daddy with a little kid. I was sitting in the shelter, rubbing Mia’s chin. I heard them coming and talking. The dad was saying how it looked like Mia was enjoying the cuddles and maybe the goats weren’t going to come over to them since they were busy. So of course I had to put my human pants on and go and socialize. I went over to the fence and got the goats to follow. And the dad and kid seemed to appreciate it a lot, they both got some good goat cuddling in. Mia did her usual excellent work just standing still and letting the kid love on her. “Just hanging around and waiting for people to come pet you” the dad said. “It’s a good life” I replied, and he laughed and agreed. I think they lived in the city and didn’t get to see animals often so it was a nice thing for them. And it’s always nice for us when we can make the visitors happy.

Oh I forgot a bit of an icky and sticky part of today’s goating. I noticed that Sky seemed to be having some problems breathing through her nose. So I had to do a booger check… and yeab both nostrils were stuffed with hard boogers. So I had to get those out. She was not happy, wailed out loud. But when it was done she was breathing much better so I hope she forgave me. Of course the treats afterwards probably helped that.

I’m trying to cut back on the election posts since, well… you know. They say it ain’t over till the obese turtle sings, but I think I hear the requiem for a presidency…
Anyway. I just wanted to note that the American ambassador in Denmark has been supporting the election fraud fake news agenda on social media.
For example, she claimed that her mail-in vote had not been registered in her home state.
Now, obviously, there’s no way you could guess where this is going.
There’s simply no way you could predict where this is heading.
Especially since we know Republicans are truthful and honest people.

I overheard a couple of workers talking at the playground today. They were alking about Joe Rogan. I didn’t really hear what they were talking about. My brain kinda got stuck because they pronounced his name “Joe Roggan”. That’s as far as I got.
Yes, they’re still working in the horse field. I guess they’re planting trees. I am not sure what the big plan is. But it will be interesting to see what it will be like when it’s done. And whether they’ll be doing anything to the goat pen.
