Return Of The Killer Tomatoes

April 24th, 2016

Ah, tomato season is back! Well, for now at least. I was able to get the year’s first Danish tomatoes this week. I thought ,since it was early in the season, maybe they wouldn’t be that good. But they were good. Very good. Oh, I hope they’ll keep coming now. I missed eating Danish tomatoes and cucumbers. Makes it easier to not order pizza. The good stuff. I lost 3,3 pounds / 1,5kg in 4 days with the help of tomatoes. Good start for now.
Although the weather forecast says we might get a little snow now. No, I will not have it. It must not be. Come back spring.

In Peanut news, we heightened the fence in places around the goat pen. I don’t think he’ll be able to jump out anymore. Of course you never know with Peanut. He’ll find a way, I’m sure. A tunnel maybe. Or a hot air balloon.

In other Peanut news, I took the gang out on the lawn in front of the playground for the first time since Peanut’s return. You can get to the road and to the residential area above from there, so I thought I’d put Peanut on a leash to make sure I had them all under control. He wasn’t too happy about that. Testing the leash. But it went okay. The tasty grass makes it easier. He did pull himself free several times, and I let him run around a little with the leash dangling after him too. No problem. But there is a lot more to look after now. And getting them all back in the pen is a bigger effort too. All in good fun, though. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

And now, photos.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Stern Lecture

April 17th, 2016

Nothing much has happened this week. Nothing barely at all.

Just keeping on. Getting back to the exercising. Spending time with the goats. Peanut jumped the fence the other day. Oh dear, up to his old tricks. There is no keeping that boy down. Things are fairly calm in the pen now. As long as Peanut can avoid grandma’s lecturing. And by lecturing I mean attempts on his life. Strict discipline. I have my hands full now with 7 goats. Getting them back in the pen after grazing is quite the task. They’d rather stay out on the ever fresher greens. But it’s a lot of fun anyway.

And yeah, not really much else suitable for public dissemination. Let’s go forth with pictures, starting with a little funny from Mia.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.
