Return Of The Killer Tomatoes

Ah, tomato season is back! Well, for now at least. I was able to get the year’s first Danish tomatoes this week. I thought ,since it was early in the season, maybe they wouldn’t be that good. But they were good. Very good. Oh, I hope they’ll keep coming now. I missed eating Danish tomatoes and cucumbers. Makes it easier to not order pizza. The good stuff. I lost 3,3 pounds / 1,5kg in 4 days with the help of tomatoes. Good start for now.
Although the weather forecast says we might get a little snow now. No, I will not have it. It must not be. Come back spring.

In Peanut news, we heightened the fence in places around the goat pen. I don’t think he’ll be able to jump out anymore. Of course you never know with Peanut. He’ll find a way, I’m sure. A tunnel maybe. Or a hot air balloon.

In other Peanut news, I took the gang out on the lawn in front of the playground for the first time since Peanut’s return. You can get to the road and to the residential area above from there, so I thought I’d put Peanut on a leash to make sure I had them all under control. He wasn’t too happy about that. Testing the leash. But it went okay. The tasty grass makes it easier. He did pull himself free several times, and I let him run around a little with the leash dangling after him too. No problem. But there is a lot more to look after now. And getting them all back in the pen is a bigger effort too. All in good fun, though. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

And now, photos.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Baby goatzies have so much energy! So much leaping and running and chasing each other.

Did they teach you to whistle to them when they want a treat? I heard you whistle to them when they were ranging a bit far. Everyone sure can running back fast when they heard you.

That was funny watching the goats going up the hill. Then the boy and girl went up the hill to pet the kids. Then there were little human kids climbing up the hill on all fours! Just about the time they were near the top, the goatzies came running down the hill.

Sure can tell it’s spring-time in Denmark with all the silly goat antics. Your grass looks so nice and green.

Everything is in bloom here, too. The flowering crab-apple trees are really pretty. I have some iris blooming in the front yard. Our landlords have calves being born now. I thought one of the brown cows looked a little different last Tuesday. She had her calf on Thursday. She was acting differently and it looked like her milk was coming in so I thought it wouldn’t be too long.

Did your parents get moved into their new place yet? How is your brother doing? Is he having a hard time adjusting to dialysis? Hope all is going well for him.

The treat whistle is quite effective! Palle especially is very tuned to it. Those ears don’t miss a beat. It’s really nice to be able to take the goats out grazing again. Always fun when we have human visitors too! Springtime in the air!
My parents are all moved in yes, I should be over for dinner at the new place. And my brother seems to be handling the dialysis stuff well. It can’t be easy. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

You will have to take some videos at your parent’s new place. We can’t wait until the annual Plume’s Great Christmas Eve Event video.

Good to hear your brother is doing okay, too.

I forgot to take video! It’s not super interesting, though. It’s basically the same as the old one, only on the ground floor! But maybe we’ll get some video for christmas haha.
