The New Goat Kids On The Block

January 31st, 2016

Well, the big news is of course… goat babies! On Friday I was planning to sleep in late and exercise. But then I got a text from Dennis. Informing me that Mio had babies. So of course I had to go off and see them: Two sweet little boys. Classic Mio babies. White with some markings on the head. They look very identical to me, with my bad eyesight inside in the near dark. But I’m sure I’ll learn to tell them apart! One of them is considerably livelier and noisier than the other. I was a little worried about the other one at first, because you know I have to worry. But he seems to be doing well. Just a little more laid back than his borther. Today I saw the first little signs of jumping and twitching. They aren’t Peanut level craziness, but we can’t all figure out everything on day one like Peanut did. They’re both coming along nicely.

Hopefully lots of fun ahead with them. I am very, very tired now though. Lots of time with the babies and editing photos and video and trying to get a little exercise in. I need some serious sleep now. So I ‘m not even going to proof read this. I’m just going to go ahead with pictures. First some fog, and then some days without babies. And then the babies. Let’s go!

And videos, all from before the goat kids.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Frosting the Snowflake

January 24th, 2016

Not much to report this week. I’ve been having a bit of a hard time with the cold. But we soldier on. It looks like from here on we will at least have temperatures above freezing for a while. Maybe I’ll be lucky and there will be no more frost all winter? Hooves crossed. At least I’m glad it will be just a little bit warmer now. I’m sure so will the goat babies, that we’ll surely be getting any day now. Still waiting for them. And for Peanut to come back. But no news about anything.

Today I was over at the parents’ place for a little belated birthday dinner for my brother. And some computer maintennance. And yeah that’s about all, so onwards with photos of goats and snow.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.
