Qualm Before The Storm

July 26th, 2015

Another quiet week. We had a nice little rainstorm yesterday. The worst had passed by the time I got going to see the goats. And I managed to get them to go out in the rain to get some green in them. By the time I was going home the rain had intensified again. Walking in the summer rain is really delightful. Although, for summer it’s really not warm enough. Sigh. I’d like just a little more 25+ days. But I guess in Denmark you can’t expect that.

At least I have my double space heaters for exercise. That’s really working well. It’s like hellish torture, I mean “enhanced coercive exercise technique”. But I love it. It’s almost my favourite part of the week, the exercise days. Pushing myself physically. And then the reward afterwards when looking at the weight. Good stuff.

Enjoying the time with the goats as well, of course. The playground is still closing early these days. Because of the summer holiday I guess. Dennis gets off before I’m ready to go home. So that means I get to let the goats in when I leave every day. I enjoy that. Seeing them run to the stable and letting them in for their food. But even though that’s fun for me, I’d rather the goats have more time outside. Hopefully they will again soon.

We have to find out what will happen to Peanut and Popcorn too. I’m dreading having to say goodbye to them. It’s always awful. I have offered to sponsor a castration or two. Since we lost Kamel I thought maybe we could have room to keep, at least one. I guess I shouldn’t get my hopes up. But I do. Dennis has promised to talk to Alice about it. All hooves crossed. I love those boys.

On to goat photos. Starting with a couple of trending hashtags.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Strawberry Nice

July 19th, 2015

Quiet times in goatland. Not a lot going on. The weather hasn’t been too hot, but at least we’re getting some sun. The goat gang enjoys when I take them out to the greens. I enjoy it too. Dennis got me a strawberry from the vegetable garden at the playground. They put a fence around it, so I guess the goats can’t get to it after all.But it seems kids have been vandalizing it. Not really suprising. Oh well. The strawberry was good. My knee is getting better. The wound is closing in. Exercise is going well. And so things go on. With goat photos.

Starting with Kamel, because I still think of her all the time.

Dennis gave the goats a louse treatment. Mio was not pleased.

Two little Sif doggies! …with Photoshop magic.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week folks see you in the next one.
