Let There Be Light

January 18th, 2015

It’s been a better week. Hopefully things are getting back to normal. Little by little.

I think the flu or sore throat or whatever it was has passed. I’m still coughing a little. But it’s probably nothing. Also still having some trouble getting out of bed in the morning. But I think that’s more of a mental issue. I have ordered a second alarm clock. To put at the other side of the apartment. That should force me to get up in the mornings.

Good goat times. Still not up to fulltime, after the holidays and sickness. But it’s been good to get back and spend time with them. Had a rainy Thursday inside with them. And a frosty Saturday, outside. The boys are quite big now. Big and fluffy. And not scared to go head-to-head with any of the bigger goats. Always good fun to watch.

I think we’re in for freezing weather the next couple of weeks. I wouldn’t mind if we could get some snow and sunshine. I’d prefer that to the cold and the dark that we’ve had so much of lately. The sun really helps.

And that’s all for now. Hopefully back to normal, more or less, next week. And no go go goat photos.

Kamel photobomb behind Clark.

Kamel isn’t very good at playing hide and seek.

What are we looking at?

And a goatlog with all the usual fun. Some inside times because of the rain. And frosty times outside.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Sick Leave

January 11th, 2015

It hasn’t been the best of weeks. I have been sick. Deathly ill, he said without exaggerating at all. Okay, maybe a little. A lil ill. It started with a sore throat around Mondayish. I had a foot therapy session in the morning. The foot therapist was coughing and sneezing. So if I weren’t infected by then…

Afterwards I went to get a haircut. I didn’t have an appointment so I ended up waiting 45 minutes. Because I just wanted to get it done. So I was quite late getting to the goats. They weren’t pleased. Also because of the rain. And then as the week went on I felt worse and worse. I don’t think I’ve had a fever. But everything else. Practically. So, that’s what I’ve been doing all week. Feeling bad for myself and milking it for sympathy. Woe is me. This morning was the first time I woke up without a sore throat this week. I’m still coughing a little, but I think I’m almost back to normal. Tomorrow I’ll probably be super okay. Famous last words.

Now I just want things to get back to normal. After the holidays and the sickness. Let’s get back on track, please. And that goes for the whole world. Let’s hope things get better.

And here are some goat photos from the beginning of the week.

Bruce and Clark happy to be out of the rain I think.

Clark still adorable.

Kamel’s kind smile.

Nosey Mia.

Smooches?

Mighty mama Mio.

Mio and Bruce in the rain.

And a picture of Mio and Bruce. I don’t see Clark anywhere. Hmm…

I think Mia had a feeling someone was watching her.

Palle and Mia, synchronous hay eating.

And a goatlog. Just a very short one.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.
