Wanted Goats

October 19th, 2014

First a public service announcement. Please keep your eyes peeled for these two bandits!

Oh, the fun we have.

Other than that it’s been a pretty quiet week. The weather has been mostly grey with a fair bit of rain. But when the sun is out it’s still really nice for mid October. Might have to start wearing a sweater for the colder days soon, though.

I’ve had my fun with the goats too. One day I let the twins out of the pen and spent some time with them outside. Watching them run around and jump and climb things. Good fun. It’s been school vacation this week so there have been a good number of kids visiting. Lots of chances for me to act as goat ambassador and help them spend time with the goat kids and such. Per came by too. He must have seen Mia’s video with the business cards because he asked if he could get one. Everyone seems quite impressed with them. As well they should be!

Bruce and Clark have gotten really good at climbing on my back too. I never get tired of that. And our visitors usually enjoy it too. The big goat show.

Sorry, no writing mood in am I. Let’s go go goat photos.

Love those folded ears on Kamel.

Lovely Mia.

Little goat in the big world.

A funnypic. And a very accurate depiction of how Mia looks when she hears people inside. Staring up at the window grating.

Mio and Bruce on the bench.

Okay, we’ve done our homework mom, can we go out to play now?

Clark trying to get up on the bench. It doesn’t look like Mia thinks it’s a good idea.

Mia ready to take Herman’s place if he gets up.

Guess who?! The folded ear should be a clue.

Mia silhouetta.

Mjello?

Mio’s half ear.

Bruce and Clark.

Hi Clark.

October fog.

I like when goats stand on things.

Palle’s airplane ears.

#Palleface.

Mia and Palle.

And Sille the horse. I think I heard that she’s 18 years old. So she’s been at the playground almost twice as long as me. Some of my earliest playground photos are from walking by out on the street and seeing her through the trees.

And goatlogs. First with the goat boys playing out of the pen. Also a look at how Mia pops her head up and looks out if she hears me in the pen before I’ve let them out in the morning.

And another one, with Herman trying his luck with the ladies. And more goat kid fun etceterah.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Have You Ever Danced With a Goat In The Metal Moonlight?

October 12th, 2014

Hey, I’m going to try something new and start out with some metal music.

Rock on, goat babies!
I spent a little too much time on that, but it’s already gotten 4,000+ views on Facebook. People seem to like it. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Especially the beginning and the ending. And I love the metal Beethoven, even though metal isn’t usually my thing. Fits the goat energy, though!

In other amusing news. Mia got business cards!

From my good American pals Adam and Jen. Really well done. I showed them to Bodil yesterday and she was thrilled. She used to work in advertising when she was younger. She was very impressed with the graphical style. I love them too. They’re just so stylish and excellent. Brilliant. It’s hard for someone soft-spoken and phobic like me to stutter out web addresses to people when they want to know where they can see the goats online. Now I can just hand out cards! Mia was impressed too, although I think she was a little disappointed that I wouldn’t let her eat them. Not for lack of trying, as you can see in the goatlogs below. Pretty darn awesome, though. I am really greatful! It’s so nice when people think of you and do nice things for you. I know that kinda goes without saying. But I’m just not that used to the feeling.

Other than that, just fun with the goats. Bruce and Clark in circus mode. They’re getting good at jumping on my back, too. Though I’m not sure my fall coat is that great for it. T-shirt weather is over, though. We’ve had some rough wind and rain. But still bouts of sunshine and for the middle of October temperatures are quite pleasant, too. At least I don’t have to bring out the chemical warmers yet.

Let’s go go, goat photos. There are several of Abdul too. He’s the boy who called me Ali. But to be fair he seems to remember my name now. And often comes and spends time with me and the goats.

Bruce for treats.

Sweet Clark.

I think Clark wants to play with Abdul on the roof.

Yup, playtime.

Is there a better place for a goat than under the apple trees in Fall?

I love that look Mia gets when looking over the dividing wall. Her mouth curves and it makes her look rather indignant.

Abdul is a big fan of the goats, but he likes Sif as well.

Bruce and Clark, still close.

If I didn’t know better I’d almost say that was a pregnant pose from Kamel.

Mirror, mirror on the wall… wait, that’s not a mirror. It’s a camera!

Bruce trying to annoy Mia.

And me annoying Mia.

The Palle silhouette.

Bruce is good at that look.

Oh Herman.

Kamel focused on the hay.

And Mia’s got a hayful too.

Sweet Mia.

And sweet Mio.

And a couple of goatlogs. Full of fun and goats on my back. And on Mio’s back. And all over the place.

And that’s all for this week, folks. Rock you in the Amadeus one.
