Autumn Nocturnal

November 2nd, 2014

There goes another week. So it goes. The usual stuff. Fun with goats. Exercise. That’s about it. We nad a lovely Tuesday with sunshine and temperatures that reminded me of spring. Then Thursday it was a winterly cold morning. I went out with a blouse, a fleece and a coat. And a mini-scarf around my neck under the coat. I hate when I have to dress in layers. And it’s only going to get colder. For a while. I can no longer get Danish cucumbers in the stores either. The foreign ones just aren’t as good. Probably soon I won’t be able to get the good tomatoes either. What rotten luck! Tomatoes and cucumbers are the main part of my diet. The things that make it enjoyable to eat healthy. But oh well, only 5-6 months til they’re back probably! My T-shirts are ready…

Speaking of T-shirts, I got a lovely T-shirt and a new cap from the Italian mountains. A nice surprise package on Halloween! Thank you Laura and Paola. I have met a lot of nice people through Mia’s Facebook page.

Look what I brought the goats for Halloween:

A pumpkin!

The goats weren’t THAT excited, though.

Too tough for Kamel’s old jaws.

She stuck with the hay.

Even after I broke it into little pieces they weren’t that bothered. Nibbled at it, but not a big hit.

Go go more goat photos.

Cutiebrucey.

Since Mia doesn’t have a mirror that she can stand in front of and pull funny faces, she just uses my camera.

Bruce and Clark enjoying the sunshine.

Staring contest! Who will win, Bruce or me?

Sunny Clark.

Sunny Kamel.

Bruce pulling a funny face too.

A little hay.

More hay.

Under the sky.

Why the long face?

The #Palleface.

And the rest of him.

And a goatlog. With the pumpkin. And Kamel enjoying a pear. And other fun stuff.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Fall On Meeh

October 26th, 2014

It’s been a cold week. Winter is around the corner. I miss the warmth. I managed to not really dress warmly enough this week, which makes sitting around with the goats for hours rather uncomfortable. As the cold slowly creeps in through the sleeves.

But I still have fun with them of course. Had Palle and Mia out of the pen a couple of mornings. There isn’t that much green left for them to eat, but it’s still nice seeing them run around. And Bruce and Clark have had some fun playtimes out of the pen too. I love seeing them run back and forth and enjoy themselves. It’s still a big, new world to them.

…aaand that’s about all that’s happened this week. Quiet times. I don’t mind. AND I got to sleep an hour extra this morning. Saved by the daylight time.

Go go goat photos.

First another memeish thing.

If a smile is an umbrella then Mia certainly provides me plenty of cover from the rain.

“The hay? No, I didn’t eat your hay. What do you mean? I have something on my face? I’m sure you’re mistaken!”

Bruce and Clark. Growing boys.

Eye, Mia.

Bruce enjoying scratchies.

I love those guys.

Clark out exploring.

Goofy Kamel.

Lovely Mia.

The gruesome twosome.

The sweet Clark.

Looks like Kamel had her hooves in the hay jar too.

I accidentally had my camera set to creative mode. I guess that’s how art happens.

Good old Kamel. I’m trying to take extra good care of her. She’s not as young and forceful as the others. Gotta make sure she gets her share of everything.

Fall colours behind Mia.

Mama Mio.

Hey, stop looking up my nose!

And a goatlog. With goats out of the pen. Lots of fun ensues. Especially the twins frolicking is lovely to watch. They have some dramatic battles on the bench too.

And that’s all for this boat, folks. Sink you in the next one.
