Another quiet and coldening week. Good times with the goats, but nothing new to report really. Hopefully things should be fully back to normal next week. I hope. On Thursday I went and had dinner with the folks. We had pita breads with green stuff. That was really good. My mother showed me some vegetarian recipes that we might try out. Then I helped her a little with her new camera. Always nice to feel useful. At home I got a replacement computer console for the crosstrainer. Doesn’t seem to make any difference. But nevermind that, I can still use it and it’s all okay. Okay. Now I am bored and tired and have nothing interesting to write about. So let’s just move on to some goat pictures, that usually does the trick.

I love the look on Kamel’s face here. Looks like she’s practicing her Clint Eastwood impression. Do you feel lucky, human?

Mia with her eyes on the prize.

Me and Mia.

Mia and Mio.

Mio has found a new favourite spot. Several times this week she’d hear noises inside and then she’d slowly trundle over to that spot and look up at the grating/window and bleat for attention.

The mighty Palle.

And a goatlog. With sweet times inside and out. Bleating and butting of heads. The usual funstuffs.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next.

In Raincoats

September 22nd, 2013

Not much going on this week. Had a bit of sunshine, which was nice. But it’s still getting colder. It’s below my comfort level now. I wouldn’t mind going into hibernation for the next 6 months.

The situation at the playground is still not resolved. I think they’re sympathy striking because the next door club doesn’t have staff enough? Or something something. I stay out of the politics. I just hope they’ll get it sorted soon so the goats can be outside more.

On Friday I was sitting with them inside when a woman came and peeked in through the door that I had left slightly ajar. It was a grandmother with two boys. I told them it was okay to come in. They had brought a bunch of old garbage leftovers. It saved the day that they could come in, she said. And the boys greatly enjoyed feeding the goats. Especially one of them. I think his name was Walther. He was loud and happy and excited by the goats. When his grandmother said something he’d repeat it loudly over and over. His brother, I assume, was a little more shy. I think his name was Sigurd. He was a little scared by the goats I think. Or just insecure. But he did get to feed them too. At one point holding his brother’s hand for courage. A sweet couple of boys. The grandmother gave me a handful of crackers too. So the goats weren’t the only ones who got fed. There’s a lot of it in the goatlog video below.

On the home front, well I mentioned I had some trouble with the crosstrainer didn’t I? I sent a mail to the dealer, pretty much requesting to return it. But now I might have found a solution to the problem. It’s not perfect. But. Oh I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.

Meanwhile, I have kind of decided to stop the weight loss race. As we move into the colder times I don’t want to get depressed from depriving myself of things. I will still exercise, because I actually like doing that, and I’ll still try to eat healthily. But I’ll give myself a break and have more treats and whatnot. And try to maintain my weight around where it is now. Because I’ve come a long way and I’m happy with that. And when the sun comes back next year I’ll give it another kick and reach my second target weight. For sure. That’s what I’m thinking right now anyway. Again, we’ll see what happens.

Now, let’s see goat photos.

Kamel poking her tongue out.

Me holding Palle. Remind me that putting the camera in the shade while standing in the sunshine isn’t optimal.

The boys feeding the goats.

The boys still feeding the goats.

hugging Mia a little too tight!

Mio’s eye. Always sweet when she looks up at me while I’m scratching her.

And the week in video:

Good goat times, first outside then in. Lots of bleating and the feeding excitement.

And that’s all for this week. See you in the next one, folks.
