Tapping The Bomb

September 17th, 2010

The window workers came by yesterday. And fixed the cracked window. That was jolly nice of them.

It is one of my least favourite things, waiting for people who have to come into my appartment and do something. Especially when I have no idea when they are going to show up. But oh well. It was quick and painfree in the end.

Other than that nothing of interest has happened. There has been a litle shopping mishap. I ordered the complete Lost collection from amazon UK. Turned out that the UK box was pretty crappy. But I opened it so I can’t return it. The US box is awesome with extra goodies. So I have bought that too. Now I have the UK and US complete sets plus the 1-5 individual seasons. That’s pretty stupid. But hopefully I can sell the UK box and the 1-5 seasons. Make a little of my money back. I should have done better research before ordering the UK version. I’m going to take a loss on that one. I don’t get the logic in releasing an inferior product with a release date 3 weeks later and at a higer price than the US one? What the hell. What a rip off. You make me wait longer, pay more and give me a worse product? Bastards.

And that concludes today’s consumer report. Now here’s Jacob with the weather…

Window Paine (2)

September 13th, 2010

My window is cracked. That is unfortunate. I will have to have the glass replaced. I’m not sure what happened. A week ago or so I heard a noise outside, like a loud twang or something. When I looked outside I didn’t see anything. But today I saw the crack, in about the position I think I heard that noise from. I probably just overlooked the crack at first. I wonder if someone threw something at the window. Annoying.

I hope the glass will be replcaed quicker than it did a couple of years ago, or whenever it was, when some kids threw a ball through another one of my windows. Good thing they’re double-glassed and only the outer glass broke.

In other news, here is a funny video of Hans: youtube.com/watch?v=PqD71qyHAIU. He decided to pick a fight with one of my shoes. It was quite a dramatic battle. I think it ended in a tie.

I should be getting my complete Lost collection in the mail tomorrow. It will be quite awesome to watch all six seasons in one go. That’ll keep me occupied for a while. I only wish I could have done that while I still had good eyesight. To notice all the little details. But oh well. It will still be great. I am still a huge fan. Many people were disappointed with how it ended. It wasn’t perfect, but to me it’s still the best TV show in history. So there. Put that in your crack pipe and smoke monster it.
