Tapping The Bomb
The window workers came by yesterday. And fixed the cracked window. That was jolly nice of them.
It is one of my least favourite things, waiting for people who have to come into my appartment and do something. Especially when I have no idea when they are going to show up. But oh well. It was quick and painfree in the end.
Other than that nothing of interest has happened. There has been a litle shopping mishap. I ordered the complete Lost collection from amazon UK. Turned out that the UK box was pretty crappy. But I opened it so I can’t return it. The US box is awesome with extra goodies. So I have bought that too. Now I have the UK and US complete sets plus the 1-5 individual seasons. That’s pretty stupid. But hopefully I can sell the UK box and the 1-5 seasons. Make a little of my money back. I should have done better research before ordering the UK version. I’m going to take a loss on that one. I don’t get the logic in releasing an inferior product with a release date 3 weeks later and at a higer price than the US one? What the hell. What a rip off. You make me wait longer, pay more and give me a worse product? Bastards.
And that concludes today’s consumer report. Now here’s Jacob with the weather…

Well that was over quickly. Glad to hear the window pane replacement was not a big pain! hee, hee
We got our winter hay for the animals yesterday. Didn’t know if we were going to be able to get 104 bales of hay into our shed, but we did. Those bales were heavy. Hope the goatzies and donkey appreciate all our hard work this winter.
We still have a hummingbird or two around, but won’t be long till they head to Mexico and South America.

It’s been hot the last two days. We’re working inside and it has been hot work, let me tell you. One place is fine – it was just one bedroom, some trim, ceiling fan blades, and a small chair to paint. The other place is awful.
The previous occupants were smokers and had large dogs inside. We are having to apply 2 coats of oil-primer (that gets rid of the “smells”). That primer has a not-too-nice smell of its own. Then we’ll start the two finish coats on the walls and ceiling. So far it’s just the kitchen, laundry area, and some closets. Then we have some outside work to do on this house.
I’ll be glad when this one is done!

Debster – I miss the heat. Not that it’s super-cold here, but with my bad circulation even the mild coolness gets a little too much. I like having all my windows open and fresh air in. But I guess those days are almost over. Until next summer. But at least we’ve had a couple of sunny days.
I’m glad I don’t have to paint this place!
