Crunchy Frog

April 25th, 2010

It is nearing crunch time. On Wednesday I go back to the hospital to talk to tha anasthesiologist. And then Thursday the week after I go in for my (hopefully) last eye surgery.

So now is the time to recharge the batteries and gather strength,

What better way to do that than with goats? youtube.com/watch?v=HL4RkcJZhXY. A video from Friday. The kids jumping into the bunny pen. Twice. I think they like to play with rabbits. Magnethe doesn’t like when her little ones jump over or through fences, though. I think they would be easier to keep a check on if they staid in there, but she doesn’t see it like that. Not sure the bunnies would appreciate it either.

On my way home the wind blew my hat clear off my head. I thought I had lost it forever. But luckily it didn’t blow too far away. And I managed to spot it, through the grey haze of the world. A narrow escape.

Good thing I wasn’t wearing a skirt.

Jump For Joy

April 22nd, 2010

Nothing new to report on this Earth Day. But I do have a handful of cute goat videos for you. So if you like cute goat videos then read on. And if you don’t like cute goat videos, then see you in another life, brother.

youtube.com/watch?v=zvKE4w1I1No. Magnethe’s boy jumped through the fence again. This time there wasn’t as much panic, though. Maybe he is curious about the horses? Eventually I lifted him back over the fence so he could be reunited with mama.

youtube.com/watch?v=Rn0RZ-pm4dQ. And he may not be old, the boy, but he is already humping away.

youtube.com/watch?v=wkbf0a4FoUk. Bodil and Sif stopping by. You can hear Bodil approaching around the corner. “I think Plume is there… yes, I knew it..!”. She was not surprised to see me. Sif and the goat babies got to say hello again. They were quite curious about each other. Although at the end Sif did whimper and growl a little, like she had had enough goat time for now. Magnethe was well behaved. Stepped back a little, but didn’t seem too worried about the deadly doggie.

youtube.com/watch?v=iVuUhTKeGt8. Lots and lots of jumping. Especially the little girl has taken a liking to jumping all over the place. Funny, she always seemed the more grounded and subdued. But not anymore. All over the place. And on my back. She also gets a little raisin treat. They enjoy raisins a lot, although they are still not that good at chewing solids. Sometimes the raisins just pop out of their mouth after a couple of chews. But they still come back for more.

And that’s yer lot. Happy Earth Day. Let’s hope there is one next year too. An Earth, I mean.
