Wolf At The Door

My sight has gotten worse. I can feel it. It’s getting pretty bad now. Bad enough that it might be problematic.

I’m not sure if it’s connected to the eye exam on Wednesday. I got those eyedrops that really mess up your vision. And it feels like it hasn’t quite recovered to the level it was before that. Also feels like it’s worse today than it was yesterday.

I have had to lower the resolution on my monitor. 1024×768 on 22 inch widescreen. That’s messed up. But I don’t really have a choice if I want to be able to read anything. I got my brother’s old laptop today but I don’t think I’ll be able to use it really. I’m not sure how low I can set the resolution on it, but I doubt I’ll be able to use that small screen much. It’s not going to be the fun I thought it would.

Fed the animals at the playground today. It went okay. But I think i’m going to have to tell them that I’m not going to do it anymore. At least not until my eyesight gets better, if that ever happens. I’d rather stop before I make some kind of grave mistake that kills off all the animals. Well, I’m sure it wouldn’t get that bad. But if I were to drop my keys in the hay I’d never find them. If I were to set off the alarm I don’t know if I could fix it and manage to call the alarm service. If they leave me a note about medication for the animals I’m not sure I could handle it. I can barely see how much food and water the animals have in the dark. So today was probably my last time.

I can barely see myself in the mirror. But that’s about the only good thing there is about it all.

I feel like everything is a little over. Nothing left to do but sit back and wait for judgement to come. May it be swift and severe. Or maybe just sleep for a month or two and hope I wake up with better eyesight. There should still be a chance of it getting better. But I don’t think anyone can say anything about it for sure anyway. The thought of going through the rest of my life like this is not fun. And it could still get worse. I have said it before and I’ll say it again, I could not live with being blind.

Standard disclaimer: I’ll be alrite, don’t worry about me. I’m just selling the drama.

Dancing With The Plumes

I have been very tired the last couple of days. I guess the eye exam took a lot out of me. I have slept a lot. From being tired, not from being depressed. So that’s new.

But other than that I’m okay.

Tomorrow I will be feeding the animals. It will be nice to see the goat boys again. I wonder if they miss me when I don’t come visit? They probably miss something to climb. I don’t think Magnethe lets them climb on her.

But that’s all from here. Nothing new.

PS. Guess what I have a craving for? Pancakes. I guess I can never have pancakes again?

Do you have Ihop restaurants in Denmark? They serve pretty good pancakes. I love blueberry and strawberry the best. Sometimes like you, I’ll having a craving for pancakes. And sometimes I’ll have cravings for rolled tacos. Man, I can’t live without them.

Of course, the boys miss you when you’re not there. There’s always that anticipation they wait for until you arrive.

They see you as part of the group only you’re much taller and walk on two limbs instead of four.

Believe me, they’ll be very happy to see you tomorrow!

Of course the goatzie boys miss you! They like the scratches you give them and the attention. You are part of the herd, just like LuisLemmings said.

Can you put some sugar-free jam or jelly on top of the pancakes (if you’re concerned about the sugar)? Or maybe some fresh fruit like strawberries with a little artificial sweetner.

I think you could add a pancake or two into your diet, just watch what you put on top of them!

LuisLemmings: what’s a “rolled taco”? We eat soft-shell tacos and I know what a hard-shelled taco is. But a rolled taco?

Of course you can have pancakes, here’s recipe without any sugar: http://www.nrk.no/mat/4284785.html :)

I’m sure the goat boys miss you, they certainly look mighty pleased when you’re around!

Katrine: does the recipe call for eggs, milk, salt, flour, and apple sauce?

Plume: ask and you shall receive! A pancake recipe!

Oh, by the way. I sent a package to Napolean for his birthday today, the 7th. Hope it reaches “the short guy” by March 15th!

LuisLemmings – I don’t think we have ihops in Denmark. Not by that name anyway. I have never had tacos, believe it or not.

Katrine – Thank you! I guess there is still hope for pancakes for me.

Debster – I guess I shouldn’t have them with the topping I used to have at home… sugar and butter. Hah. I wonder if you can get sugarfree sugar.
I bet Napoleon is looking forward to the package.
